Appreciate seeing all the comments and discussion my post created--hopefully guys got something out of it. Also, if you don't need to be convinced that MIRL (matching IRL) aka Cold Approach works and is worth learning, then skip to the bottom for resources I've used to help my game.

However, a few common themes I wanted to address:

1) "You're full of shit."

Actually I'm not, but whatever--if you don't want to believe me there's nothing I can do about it. A few points however:

- AWALT... but social dynamics and location matter in terms of how SOD (swipe/online dating) is used. In some places, I'm sure it's great. Seems like guys in GB are using the apps to great effect. However, I can tell you that in certain places, the apps aren't used or they are being used in different ways. And some women are going to have different expectations than others, i.e. be more picky. For example, a spoiled upper class white girl who grows up in LA is going to swipe very differently than a poor girl from Oklahoma who moves for the first time to a big city.

TL;DR--shit varies from place to place. This isn't rocket science. SOD may be fantastic in some areas and shit in others.

- REGARDLESS, with cold approach you have control--not the other way around. If I'm on Tinder, I just have to hope the HB 9 swipes on me. If I'm at a club and have the balls to approach her, I'm at least going to have a shot. If my game is on point, actually, a pretty good one.

- As I stated in the post, if SOD is working for you: keep doing it. Understand that the post was not intended for you--it was intended for guys who aren't having success doing SOD and see no other alternative. It was also an affirmation for those guys that they may be quality men who have a lot going for them; unfortunately when using SOD, there's no guarantee that's ever going to come through.

2) "You must be really ugly/have bad pictures."

I'm not ugly (again, if you don't believe me, IDGAF), but I conceded in the post that my pics weren't great--and that as so many of you pointed out is the name of the game. However, they are still photos of me, and I guess that's my point: unless you have great pics/are really good looking, it's not going to work very well if at all, especially depending on your location.

So here's the question: do you want to spend time and/or money taking photos or hiring a professional and then spend hours obsessing and analyzing photos and cultivating the perfect bio, or do you want to go talk to some hot women in real life and test your frame, game, and guts? I'll choose the latter, thanks.

3) "Cold approach is a cheat-code."

The above is courtesy of Todd V, who's a pretty badass dating coach. Anyway, I'll concede I'm not an expert by any means--probably intermediate at best in terms of game. However, what I've observed since heading down this path is phenomenal:

A) Your game and ability to maintain frame increases exponentially.

Yes at first you'll crash and burn--but that's not even that bad. At worst a girl might ignore you or tell you not to bother, but most are super flattered you approached in the first place and/or are extremely polite about telling you they're not interested. But as they shit test you, you escalate, try to close, etc., you learn and gain confidence, whether you actually get a number or kiss close or get laid or not. And then each subsequent approach is easier, because like any skill you practice regularly, you get better.

B) Confidence.

At some point, once you've done this enough, you stop giving a shit. Literally don’t care about the outcome. That's not to say there isn't any approach anxiety, but the confidence you have that the interaction is going to go well, the excitement you experience talking to a hot woman on the street and being a badass, blows right through it. Plus if you live in a large enough city, it doesn't matter. I crash and burn--oh well--I'll go talk to another girl. And another. And another. I'll tell you this: nothing gets the hamster spinning faster than getting rejected by a girl, then running game on another at the same bar and the first girl seeing her all over you later on. Dread game at its finest.

To be honest, I used to get frustrated or even a bit hurt when girls declined--that's perfectly natural. But that goes away too.

Now I just feel sorry for her. Remember guys: if you're a truly high quality man, you're bringing way more to the table than she is, even if she's super hot. You're offering her a story, security, and a romantic experience unlike most guys she comes into contact with--she's offering you temporary pleasure (and at some point, probably a pain in the ass + expense). So yeah, if she's not down, guess what? The next girl probably is.

C) Hotter women.

In my experience--and from many of the comments others have made--I can pull much better looking women using cold approach for the simple fact that it's up to me: and why would I approach a girl who's not hot?

When I was doing SOD on the regular and making a systematic effort (this is before my recent experiment and represents nearly a year of time), the average woman I matched with was a 5-6… with MIRL she’s a 7-8. And given how I can see this is going, that average is going to increase. So far my best close is a HB 9 who was 22 (I'm 37).

Also, side note: I see guys on this sub refer to HB 5's. If she's a 5, she's not a HB--and she's probably not worth it unless you're really desperate. Aim higher boys.

D) You always present as an alpha.

Some women will want to fuck you or give you their number just for the sheer fact you had the balls to approach—because that is what an alpha male would do. He is not concerned with the outcome. He is concerned with the conquest. And, having succeeded before he believes he will do so again.

When you are on SOD, you are presenting as a beta.

If you were rich and/or successful and/or had an awesome lifestyle and/or had the balls to cold approach, you wouldn't be on there--SOD is the very definition of lacking natural abundance. Seriously, why would an alpha submit himself to such a capricious, time-consuming, anti-social process?

A: he wouldn't--unless he was just scoring ridiculous tail doing so (which again, if Tinder is working for you, God bless, go forth and slay).

Resources to look up (most are YouTube videos): Todd V dating, James Marshall, Sasha Daygame, Karisma King, Max from RSD. Oh, and a lot of the videos from 21 conventions are good too--wish I could go to this year's event. Alas. There are other guys and PUAs out there; the above are the guys who resonated most with me and my game.

If you want the post I wrote about on my blog, DM me and I'll send you the link. There's more to come--as I mentioned I'm still learning.

Just FYI, I have more stuff on the blog about dating and personal philosophy and stuff that some of you might find interesting, but I don't discuss TRP explicitly there for reasons that should be obvious.

Remember guys, play this stuff close to the vest. Rules #1 and #2 of Fight Club, right?

Cheers and good luck out there.
