Just another reason to get rid of your cable or satellite. TV is toxic period. If you want to catch the ballgame go to your local watering hole and watch it.

Exactly, it is literally a bullshit machine, I get mad watching it because the propaganda/indoctrination is so obvious. Ill watch certain shows without commercials though, the commercials are really bad.
What else would you expect when only a few corporations control over 90% of the media.

The only show I watch at all anymore is walking dead and I just buy it on amazon on Monday nights. Commercial bullshit free.

Project free tv is my jam now. Haven't had cable for over a year. Over the air antenna for sports and PBS. That's about it.

It's basically catering to a female audience which has been brought up to perceive this as the norm. It's obviously appealing as it makes them feel great about themselves, the issue is to stand out amongst all the others going for this type of pandering you need to constantly escalate to stand out.
Just have a look at the portrayal of men in most media and the developement over the last few decades. It's a "Homerification", i.e they turn progressively dumber and more inept as longer as this is ongoing across the board.
This isn't the fault of any group or a single person, it's simply a developement which was allowed to run its course and it most certainly doesn't represent the actual state of things, otherwise our societies would've collapsed long ago. It does however influence the perception of people, their expectations and ideas about what constitutes "normal".

This.
Marketing for large brands is almost universally a negative feedback loop of cultural memes targeted at women.

They portray men like this because men watch the tv shows for the humor alone. If they laugh, they'll watch it. Not true with women. They watch to live vicariously. They love the idea of being the woman in charge while her husband is a bumbling fool. Women play these games with whipped men all the time, trying to boss them around and emasculate them. It's part of the power dynamic, and make no mistake, it's the same instinct that drives modern feminism. They love that idea, but it doesn't mean they love the husband if he acts like that. Don't be a TV trope because mainstream media appealing to middle-aged women told you this is what you're supposed to be.

Only faggots think TV is about telling the truth. Source : TV commercial producer here. You can't sell shit to people who are awake. We sell fantasies of how people wishes the world was. When you buy our product you are helping to make that wish come true! Weeeeeee!
Which is why I always wonder about the faggots wanting to spread the redpill. That's like the 1% wanting to share the wealth. Or the faggots who are all like we need to teach people to be dark triad/machiavellian. That's like superman trying to give everyone super powers.
It's the last redpill to think those who are the haves and those who sell products want you to have what they have and know what they know. Sharing knowledge and power for free is bluepill as fuck in the real world.

In other news, commercials show domineering mothers/MILs being PWNed by young mom/young child; plying common familial stressors to push product at a cost of manipulating families.
It's easy to blame this on feminist SJW socialist indoctrination, but the fact is, TV exists to push products, so you are witnessing Capitalism at work; plain and simple.

I love posts like these. All this "women suck" "we know the truth" is bullshit. The truth is that men suck. Everywhere I go, all I see are clowns, that look like shit, following around annoyed wives. I was standing in line at the movies. I watched a couple with one kid order popcorn with a bucket handle and 2 drinks. He got flustered and argueing about how holds what. His wife handed him a drink, grabbed the popcorn and her drink in one hand, grabbed the kid with other and walked off. He stood there for a second and slumped after her looking like a sack of laundry. And I realized that I see some version of this everywhere I go. I see this with ALL my friends marriages.
Women haven't changed... They have been the same since the beggining of time. Men are the ones that have changed.

Men have changed because the last couple generations haven't been taught how to be men, because of feminism.
[–]aanarchist2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
it's almost as if feminism has penetrated trp and is man shaming from the inside. your shit tests have no power here demon.

It really has tho, I've been seeing alot of it lately.

This is factually untrue, women have changed as much as men have. It's a change across the board coming down to various factors such as pushing women into taking on a more male role in a relationship while simultaneously eroding away the traditional male one and depicting it as "problematic" aswell as "toxic".
Worse yet, the government has removed any stakes a woman has in a relationship taking on traditional male obligations aswell as enforcing that men will do "their part" no matter what, which makes it more beneficial to a woman to not do hers or even walk out on a relationship as she's outright rewarded for it.-
Resorting to gender bashing, whether towards women by blaming them for all these problems and thus divesting yourself of any fault or by blaming other men which is an easy way to feel better about oneself as you're "not one of those chumps" solves nothing beyond making yourself feel better.
It misses the underlying dynamics at work here, it fails at pin pointing what lead to the current situation, it's honestly a big waste of time often ending in a circle jerk and ego stroking.

You have to see them in the work enviroment and practising their hobby or sports before saying that

I see this with ALL my friends marriages.
All your friends' marriages have the guy at threatpoint. Displease the wife, lose the children. That's what these guys are up against. Plus the full force of the entire world saying "be blue pill for your unicorn wife, you're lucky to have her!".
These poor saps have no idea and no role model.

Women do most of the buying and most of the tv watching. Why wouldn't it all be geared to make them feel better about themselves?

Do NOT pay for cable tv.
It's one thing if you get HDTV over the air (like I do) because that's required by law to be broadcast and it's 100% free. (buy one of the modern square antennas... massively better)
However, if you pay for these cable tv packages where you are paying $100 a month that's adding insult to your injury. (the Blue Pill brainwashing)
My advice is to limit your tv viewing as much as possible and just watch youtubes of everything.
Example:
CNN just had the townhall meeting in Wisconsin for the Republican primary. For some reason my CNN app wouldn't let me watch that night, but by the next morning everything was on youtube.
There is very little of value on cable tv now.
(and I've purchased cable up until recently and then got sick of the crappy shows)
Even the Vikings series is available online.
