This post will describe my views on how value differences play into female committal, and how male strategy changes over time. This idea uses many generalizations.

In order to get the girl to commit, a man must make a satisfactory display of higher value. This can happen in two ways: 1) Be higher value than her 2) Lower her sense of value so that you are now perceived as higher value (negging).

In situation 1, the male comes from a default higher value by being successful on multiple fronts in life (economically, socially, physically). Value is always somewhat relative and subjective, but we know instantly when we have higher value than a female that we are interacting with. It’s an instinct. And because the values are already in favorable alignment, our actions and behaviors reflect this. We come across as natural, confident, genuine, and effortlessly pass the mandatory shit tests. There is no point in negging when the values are clearly established as the male’s being higher than the female’s.

In situation 2, the bitch is hot and everyone knows it, especially her. She’s likely at her peak SMV in the age range 18-23. As a male in this age range, it is extremely unlikely that you are of higher default value than she is. At this stage in your life, your SMV is still on the rise, and it might be another decade before you near your peak. So how do these (20% of) college aged guys regularly nail these bitches that are out of their real SMV? They typically do so by lowering the female’s value. Think of the frat culture on campus, it is a social entity that functionally brings out the slut (lowers the value) in females through multiple mechanisms. These guys might experience a value bump from pre-selection and a good social circle, but they are certainly not anywhere close to their real peak potential, which almost always occurs after a man is successfully establishes a career for several years post-college. Comparing top SMV college guys to the real top SMV males, college guys don’t stand a chance. Fortunately for males, logistics and social pressures keep most girls from going after the real peak SMV men.

This is the time when the phrase “guys are such assholes!” becomes common vernacular in female vocabulary. It’s because they are stuck dating/getting fucked by guys that are below their real SMV, and probably only after the guy chops her down to lower value. When asking married women what attracted them to their husbands, how often do you hear them describe the husbands as “assholes?” Probably not too often. This is because marriage occurs later when men predominantly hold higher value, therefore the value-lowering does not occur as a tactic. Instead, you hear things like, “he was so confident, genuine, fun to be around.”

That said, I hypothesize that, as men grow older and their SMV increases towards peak, the type 2 strategy is replaced by a type 1 occurrence. The choice isn’t conscious, and the switch happens naturally as female SMV decreases and male SMV increases with time. The assumptions made here are that guys are pursuing women closer to their age range. Not every encounter with a female will fit this proposed model, but I think the description might be accurate on a greater than chance basis. I suppose there could be a gray area where two people are of equal SMV, and the man can win out by artificially raising his value above hers, but I don’t see this having great success unless he also deliberately lowers her value. Basically, the female always assumes the new man is of some arbitrarily higher value than herself…you are allotted “X” value by the girl, and you lose value points as you fail shit tests or demonstrate lower value in any way. You don’t get these value points back. If you fall below her own internalized sense of self-value, you lose. All you have to do is stay above that threshold and she will commit. I may explore this last idea a little more in another post sometime in the future.
