While it's true that women use psychological abuse more often than men, did you even read the article:

Women's Aid, the Sara Charlton Charitable Foundation and stalking advice service Paladin have urged the government to criminalise "coercive control", patterns of abusive behaviour and causing psychological harm, in order to make it easier to prove long-running abuse.

"Currently two women a week die at the hands of a partner or ex-partner; the next step to preventing these deaths is reform to allow the criminal justice system to take account of patterns of controlling and violent behaviour."

They're not going to criminalize abuse like withholding sex from husband but just add more reasons to lock up men.

This will never be in the favor of men if it becomes a thing at all. I know women are more abusive psychologically (and physically in my experience) but any man that takes psychological abuse to courts is going to get ripped apart and shamed. Awww the poor widdle man got his feelings hurt? No one gives a flying fuck about men and they never will. More men are on the streets than women and no one is trying to fix that into equality. More men commit suicide and no feminist EVER complains about that. We are like tissue paper to them. Only good to wipe up their tears and snot and then we are tossed away without a single thought. In other words don't get your hopes of for this.
