Hello hypertension, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, sleep apnea, low energy, joint problems...should I go on or just congratulate her on her self esteem?

Yet another example of seeking praise, esteem, and validation by a woman who deserves none. All while denying that she needs or desires any.

If they really didn't care what anyone else though they wouldn't put on this charade to make such a big deal out of it. They would simply ignore the media and Hollywood (and whatever other excuses) and go on living their lives.

"She knows she has to lose weight. In the meantime, she refuses to be down on herself."
This is in alignment with TRP thinking: she acknowledges reality, while consciously deciding to "fake it" until she "makes it."

Like the guy in the article, I too would probably lose my appetite if I saw that walking down the street.

Does anyone else think that what she's doing isn't all that bad. She's not advocating that being fat is healthy. She's just saying one should retain a positive mental attitude no matter their physical appearance.
Someone like her is probably more likely to lose weight and become healthy because of her positive outlook. Don't a lot of overweight people end up gaining more weight because they eat to make themselves feel better about being a fatty. Food is a drug to them, and drug abusers will tend to abuse substances when they're depressed.
I've never been out of shape my whole life so I don't really know what these people feel like on a day to day basis.
If they start stressing themselves out about their weight problem, wouldn't they just produce more cortisol and have a more difficult time losing fat?
I'm not saying we should be praising people for being fat. I don't really know what the solution is. We've been laughing at fat people for many years, all the while obesity rates continued to increase.
