As odd as it sounds, find the equivalent of a red pill woman. I don't mean a feminist, but a woman who handles relationships based on want not need. Somebody who focuses on her personal value and being and doing what she wants in her life instead of trying be a parasite on a worthwhile man.

For instance, my girl and I have been together for about two years. I swallowed the pill shortly before we got together and stopped being a betamaxx. And that's what attracted her to me. She's the same way. She doesn't need me. She wants me. In the same way that I don't need her, I choose to be with her. Instead of all this shit about one life and whatever, we act as two people with separate lives and goals that happen to intersect at points.

I don't put up with her bullshit and she doesn't put up with mine. We call each other on our shit and move on. It's freaking great. I get to do what I want, she does what she wants, and we both are happy together. And this last year has been the hardest of my life and she never once even showed signs of bailing, because she doesn't need me to be invincible like a hamster does. She was there to support and help me.

Basically, if you're in the game to find a long term partner who isn't a hamster, don't get a chick who is a floormat, because that means she needs a man to take care of her, which is a waste of your time, effort, resources, and energy. And as soon as something goes south, she's going to jump your ship for another (to borrow the great analogy from the post about a man being raped).
