You don't lift, you haven't read all of the recommended readings, you aren't maintaining frame, and you talked to your lady about TRP - what exactly are you looking for?

You haven't followed a damn thing that has been repeatedly stated throughout this entire sub, what good will any of our comments do for you?

Edit: I didn't mention Daddy issues, blaming a woman for thinking like a woman, and the fact that you say you've been 'clicking around' since last summer yet are presenting a post like you found TRP last week.

[–]Robinti99[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I appreciate your response, though I'm curious as to why you'd deduce that I have daddy issues? I stated that bringing up TRP to my SO was a big mistake, the biggest in my relationship, if I'm quoting myself correctly, and lifting is something I also said I want to do but lack the motivation. I've read the recommended reading in the side bar and some of it I read often as a refresher. But I know what you mean; lifting is essential to self improvement, and I will put more effort into that area than I have. Though I've been "clicking around", application is a learning process, and holding frame is something I strive to do, it's just different when I'm trying to regain frame in a relationship that hasn't had the guidance of this sub for four years. And your right, I guess I did blame women for being the way they are, but NOT holding them accountable, isn't that what the rest of society does? What am I looking for? What good is this knowledge if I can't keep the girl I want? Getting new ones isn't the problem. My smv is already higher than hers, I hold frame and leave if she starts a tantrum. Do you believe my current situation is a lost cause?

[–]TrainingTheBrain 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

I meant your lady had daddy issues, which is a red flag for her relationship with men.

I don't think you have a lost cause but I do want to pull a move from the movie "Ghost Dad' and choke the shit out of you through this computer (I'm jk)

But it is slightly infurriating to see a person who is as close as you are to breaking that barrier from wanting to doing.

At any point while you were writing your post did you think to yourself, "You know what, I haven't been lifting and I HAVE been quitting on all of my business ideas, I should knock out some push ups and write out my goals and the steps necessary to achieve them instead of a Reddit post?"

You don't need our advice, you simply need to take some fucking action. You. Are. A. Man. forget the analysis paralysis and simply start doing something.

Write out your goals for next week and get started on checking them of the list. Do push ups every time you walk into or out of your living room. Do 100 push ups for every comment you leave on reddit and 100 body squats for every 1/2 you are on the computer.

Earn your leisure time.

We all want you to succeed, but only you can make that happen.

[–]Robinti99[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

Ha I understand your frustration with me because I feel it as well. And your right, it's like I have the recipe, I'm just not a very good cook yet. The "earning your leisure" is a good tip that I plan to adopt (though maybe 50 push ups is more my speed for now). Gym scenes have never been my thing, but I did think about a lot of the things I should be applying, so writing my post was very therapeutic for me in that sense. I ordered a pull up bar after reading your first reply, and plan on forging my body and raising my smv even higher. Thanks for your tough love, ghost dad.

EDIT: and I have a pebble watch so hopefully I can find some good fitness trackers for that

[–]TrainingTheBrain 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

I get anxiety at the gym, so what did I do? I most certainly did not say, "Fuck it, exercise it out of the question!". I found another way to make it work. So I bought a used bench, a used barbell, new bumper plated, my wife got me a squat rack, and I bought some kettlebells.

I made myself a home gym and if lifting weights isn't your thing, your body is weight, use it if you don't know how, visit r/bodyweightfitness.

I'd like you to do me a favor. I know I'm a stranger on the internet but I've had success with this in the past helping others and it may aid you on your journey.

  • Write down 3 goals. all to be completed within the next 6 months.

  • Under each goal write down 3 specific ways in which you are working towards each goal.

  • Make progress every single day

  • Keep this with you and look at it daily.

For example: I have a paper that is pinned to the wall at my desk. On it I have written all of my goals for 2015. One of them is Buy a House under it I have get preapproved, find Realtor, find house and schedule inspections.

I've already gotten preapproved and found a Realtor, I will own a house this year because I am making that happen, day by day.

There should never be another day in your life where you make NO progress. They are called Zero days, and you've already used all of your's up.

Get to work, good luck.

This has also been therapeutic. It seems a lot simpler now and very clear. I hope you don't mind I took it a little farther than you instructed.

The 6 month plan:

Fitness

-lose 15 pounds and tone up -wake up work out (light-cardio excercise) -dedicate exercise time for after work (various regiments) -50* push-ups/crunches every 30 minutes on Xbox/tv/computer -50* push-ups/crunches every time I leave my house -20* pull-ups everytime I leave my room * = incremental increases over time

Finance

-save for apartment in the city -reduce expenses in unneeded areas -cut back on weekend fun -cancel useless subscriptions, clubs -halt online shopping and other frivolous spending -find apartment in the city that is manageable with my current pay -save enough to move in, plus two months pay.

-get a job in coding -finish various online courses -make a personal project once a week for practice -begin scoping out possible jobs before finishing courses -open my network to create websites, and various other coded elements for businesses, personal, etc.

Wellbeing

-quit cigs -reduce amount weekly -no more carton purchases -no more chain smoking. One and done.

-broaden social network -remain proactive in social settings -follow up with potential business connections, friends, like-minded folk, and potential plates -use EVERY outing as an opportunity to connect with someone new

Personal

-create more music -camp on weekends to create a wide variety of compositions -diversify sound cloud tracks -practice use of logic x -network in the music scene

-read more books -find more recommended RP reading -read less fiction -cut back on digital media

This is perfect.

I would add looking into a few of the nutritional programs out there as doing pushups and bodysquats won't work if you're downing soda and chips while you play games or are on the computer.

If you like challenges, maybe invest in a FitBit charge so you can track your steps and compete with others in a group.

You're on your way to a new you, but you have to develop the mental discipline as that is what makes or breaks people. Can you go when everything inside you says stop?

[–]Robinti99[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Right you are about nutrition, but I'm a pretty healthy eater as it is. Soda and sweets have never been a problem, but still Ill try to be conscious of my diet. My goal is to make this a daily ritual, a way of life, if you will. Eventually it will be second nature. I appreciate all your help and motivation

[–]TrainingTheBrain 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's nothing. This sub is for the improvement of all men. As long as you are focused, have a goal(s), and take action then you are on the way to crating very successful habits in your life.

Eventually you will feel like ass when you miss a run or will feel crappy when you sit for too long. I never really had a fat/lazy phase, but I have stepped my running up significantly and now when I don't run or bring my kids on a walk I feel lethargic.

Just remember, if you fail to prepare then you are preparing to fail.

Set yourself up for success. I used to fucking HATE morning PT in the Navy. But once I simply accepted it then it got easier, but when I started laying out my clothes and socks and shoes so all I had to do was stand up and grab the pile in front of me, it was MUCH easier to get my ass out of bed.

Prestage whenever you can.

[–]2RedPillSafe0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Yeah... sorry... but Red Pill is fatalistic about women.

AWALT.

That's the hardest part about Red Pill is thinking "if I could somehow just get her to RATIONALLY see things as they really are."

But if you've been here for some time you know your answer.

[–]Robinti99[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Your right, I need to suck it up and leave her alone. It has never lasted long in the past but I need to commit to the lifestyle. I just look at RPW and they're still women, but they talk about deliberately trying to fight their programming, appreciate their man, etc. I thought that mindset could somehow be instilled.

[–]2RedPillSafe0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

This forum can be brutal and you are getting downvoted.

Seems like the voting is getting a little screwy here again, might need to purge another round of SJWs that seem to be invading again.

Don't take the downvoting seriously you seem to be pretty wise for a young man.

And this was a very honest first post as a field report too.

[–]Robinti99[S] 0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks man, I could care less about karma so it's fine. I'm writing for the small percentage of redditors that are here to teach and help.
