Regardless, I repeatedly used the approach “Has anyone ever told you you’re beautiful enough to be a waitress?” It’s a lyric from a Flight of the Conchords song called The Most Beautiful Girl (in the room) that’s full of backhanded compliments. The line worked better with >HB8s especially those in groups. Lower SMV girls seemed to get legitimately offended and/or confused.

From there I would ask the 2-3 girls if they wanted a drink. After they told me what they wanted I would get another guy in our group to buy the round. You could argue this a dick move, but keep in my mind that A) on a bachelor party not everyone is necessarily friends and B) The buyer is generally happy you’ve approached and broken the ice.

If you approach with a backhanded compliment and get a round of drinks in kind of a surprising Machiavellian way you ought to get some IOIs. I leave it at the kino at least until my wife clearly demonstrates AWALT to me.
