Last night, my FWB invited me to hang out with some of her friends. She had gone to high school with some of these boys.

There were four other guys, and we ended up smoking a bit (my FWB enjoys getting stoned, and I enjoy joining her, in social situations and before sex).

One of her friends seems incredibly charismatic. He chats with my FWB, talking to her about funny things that happened in high school. She is having a great time talking to him and laughing. She begins to act flirty, complimenting his hair and lightly touching him.

During most of this time I am completely quiet (save for a few quips). I have a pretty quiet, yet confident personality, and I tend to become extremely quiet when I smoke. We were smoking a lot.

We later go to Dennys, as it's 1:00 AM.

At Dennys, this new friend of mine continues to be chatty with my FWB. He addresses her by name and makes her laugh and leans forward and puts his eyes to hers. His posture is relaxed, displaying confidence in his surroundings.

I lean back in my chair and relax. I put one arm on the table and another behind the back of my chair. I like this pose especially, because it shows off my chest and biceps.

I humor my new friend. I laugh at some of the things he says, and offer quips occasionally through the conversation.

However, as the breakfast goes on, my new friend begins to run out of funny things to say. The guys around him don't laugh at him as much and my FWB displays awkwardness.

AND THEN this magnetic new friend of mine BREAKS HIS FRAME.

He retracts into himself for the rest of the evening. His hands go into his crotch and his legs close up. He begins to laugh more at the few things I say and responds to me more.

Why does this happen? Because as the conversation slows down, my body language remains unchanged. My eye contact never wavers. My pose is still relaxed.

During silences, all of the other men begin to hide themselves and display their anxiety. When something they say isn't funny, they clearly react with awkward talk or a change in body language. When I say something (funny or not) I give no reaction.

At the end of the night, my new friend tries to restore flirting with my FWB. She gives him pity laughs and shies away from his touches.

I grab her ass and she smiles at me.
