This basically says looks don't matter if you have no confidence, which is true, but lets not kid ourselves. Your physical appearance is the first thing a girl will notice. So don't use this as an excuse to not work out and dress well.

I took it as more that pushing her emotional buttons has a greater effect then just looking good. All women are status seeking and will go for the highest status male they can without risk of failure / lowering their own status. Initial appearance conveys your starting value but your game can raise / lower it further. So better looks = better starting value = easier pussy, you still need to push her buttons unless she's ovulating.

I second this.
After I started working out, it was like a switch got flipped. All of a sudden, I was getting a very bouncy and playful vibe from women. It's a kind of eagerness I can't put into words but, I know damn well there is no amount of game that can replicate what I now elicit from women.
Also, it's hilarious to see women trying to hit on me now. They're so bad at it.

Good points about men who think they'll be able to approach when they reach certain milestones like a particular BF%, income, etc.
Thinking like that is basically the result of a lack of self-appreciation. You can work to improve forever, but eventually you'll have to face yourself as you realize that you work to satisfy the "I'm not good enough yet" mentality instead of the "I love myself and I want to help myself get as good as possible" mentality.
I was in that first state until I realized that for me to succeed, self-love had to be a default. I couldn't just have periods of liking me; it had to be the majority of the time, the place where I returned to. Without self love, without the unbreakable belief that you're fuckin awesome, life's tests are always going to break your frame.

Agreed. Waiting for some arbitrary benchmark to start acquiring social success is so shortsighted it is entirely pointless.
If you don't cultivate a positive attitude in the present, and find your balls to take some risks already, you'll be stuck in self-defeat loops waiting for something that invariably won't change your habits.

Maybe I'm just a bio-determinist, but I think it's more like biochemistry trumps all. People then think it's their game.
However, I will say that two things are important for success:
Putting yourself out there as much as possible.
Being stoic and shrugging off defeats and setbacks.
You'll have a gazillion more interactions; you won't obsess over failures, and your successes will give you increasing confidence.

Yeah. I suggest reading for some pointers from available resources and then immediately going out in the field and putting yourself out there, whether it's for seduction, friendship, or business. Do this regularly and you'll improve.

This comment reply is worth 10x more than this inane blogpost.

ROK gets more cringe-worthy day by day.

Yup. If you're going to read roosh, better off sticking to his rooshv blog. RoK is a male Cosmo with feelgood bullshit. It started out good, not sure what happened.

It was good back in the beginning, then roosh decided to let in anyone who wanted to write. Now there are maybe two or three good writers and ten shitty ones.
[–]PrisonerOfLife-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Agreed. Instead of producing original, inspiring content, the writers run in circles until they're back at square one - game theory.
Let's get real here, gents. Game doesn't make you anything but average in today's dating market.

It reminds me of any competitive environment. If you wear sports gear like super expensive joggers, shorts, headband, joint supports, your racket/club/bat costs more than your car, you read all the latest magazines, you have a coach who makes more money than you, all this means nothing if you don't have skill and talent. I'm sure the best sports players in the world could beat you bare foot in pajamas because they have better skills. Game IS EXACTLY THE SAME!
Note: This does not mean that you should just not bother with the rest of your setup, you don't see sports players in tournaments actually playing in barefoot and pajamas, every edge helps. EDIT NOTE
