I've seen a few posts flying around about marriage lately and some unanswered questions about it. This post is an attempt to add to the discussion.
I'll start by saying this post should help both the atheist and the religious type. I identify with Christianity and feel this post can be applicable to all religious and non-religious types. First of all- marriage has become woman centered and state centered and this allows women to easily screw over guys. That's not cool. If you look back (regardless of atheistic views or God oriented views) you'll see that marriage was started and ordained by God. It was not a state run thing. Today, however, if you actually read the marriage license you'll see that the state controls everything about your marriage! Seriously! It's in the text. I found a website that shows this point so i'll just quote it here: "When you marry with a marriage license, your marriage is a creature of the State, it is a corporation of the State, therefore, they have jurisdiction over your marriage including the fruit of your marriage, in which the fruit of your marriage is your children and every piece of property you own. When you marry with a marriage license, you are not just marrying your spouse, but you are also marrying the State. With This Ring I Thee Wed, is of the state and is found in most county courthouses in many States. That phrase was published by the State Bar Association. They don't tell you that when you repeat your vows, you enter into a legal contract, in which there are three parties to that contract, with the first being you, the second being the person you are marrying, and the third being the State you marry in. See the State and the lawyers know that when you marry with a marriage license, you are not just marrying your spouse, you are marrying the State, thus giving undue jurisdiction to the State. The marriage license invades and removes the Most High given parental authority. When you read the Bible, you see that the Most High intended for children to have their father’s blessing regarding whom they married. Daughters were to be given in marriage by their fathers (Dt. 22:16; Ex. 22:17; I Cor. 7:38). Why do you think when couples get married today, the father is suppose to be present to walk his daughter down the aisle?"
In other words, your relationship (if marriage is your end result) should be between you, your wife and God, not the state. This is where we've gone wrong. Why do we need the state to tell us how to control our children and our "fruits"? Frankly, it's childish to off put this responsibility on the state and I'm completely in favor of less state control. A family starts with the man being at the head of the household and the leader. Why would he attempt to give up this power and control? That doesn't seem very alpha to me. We don't teach going into social settings and purposely relinquishing control. Therefore, I feel you can be right with God if you get married in front of witnesses and before God and NOT sign that damn license. I talked with an elder of a church about this and he seemed to agree.
The red pill has a lot of good info on here and I align with most of it though I don't always practice it. If you take the bible as a legalistic document (which it's not) then all of this stuff is "wrong" but if it's about a relationship with God then you'll see that everything is permissible but maybe not beneficial. Pick and choose what you want from my post, it's just my two cents about marriage.
