I’m a handsome and successful guy so I’ve got no trouble with tinder or IRL. However, I ignored everything I’ve learned on here and decided to fall for a classic case of “she’s the one” syndrome.

We matched on tinder about a month ago and that same night I ended up sleeping with her. She was a big fan of me because I’m a former athlete and she knew the school I went to. Fast forward to the next morning and I stupidly got involved in her argument with her and her ex husband and decided to white knight for her. Now I should’ve seen this baggage as a red flag and got away ASAP but I was stupid. I decided to become her “rock” during all of this and support her while at the same time sleeping with her. As the Wuhan Flu began ramping up, I even let this girl stay with me in MY luxury apartment rent free.

Things progressed between us and I helped her emotionally a ton of times while she’s been dealing with everything. I even let her workout with me despite it ruining my progress because I had to take time to teach and help her. Eventually, I decided I wanna go back into the military and she’s decided to follow me. Being prior enlisted, I know the lies and fuckery recruiters will pull to get you to do stuff. She bought into it all hook line and sinker. When I warned her about all this shit and first hand experience with certain jobs, she blew me off because her recruiter had filled her head with a ton of lies.

Fast forward to today nearly two months after us meeting. She’s moved into an apartment in the same complex and I invite her over for a night with just the two of us. Since she has two dogs who can get loud, I like having nights with just us at my place. She refused because she “places her dogs at a higher priority”. That right there was my final straw with all of it. Cue allegations of being controlling and treating her like a child along with not caring about what she thinks.

We broke it off. I’m going to hit up one of my old flames to come over and relax. The point of my long and confusing rant is simple. Don’t go out of your way for a woman. If a flag is red, don’t try to excuse or explain it, just leave it.
