Hey are there any studies that back up a normal male female couple's children perform better than single parents or gay couples?

This site seems to have a lot of data regarding children from single parent homes. http://www.fatherhood.org/father-absence-statistics

Extended family + heterosexual couple > heterosexual couple > gay couple > single man > lesbian couple > single woman

Why do you consider it: gay couple > single man > lesbian couple > single woman

Are you saying men are inherently better at raising children than women? You and I both know that isn't true.

Yes. After breastfeeding (more so during/after puberty) the father is more important in raising a child then the mother.

2 or more raising the child would always be better but lack of a father is the most destructive.

A regular couple certainly has better statistics than single mothers, though gays might actually turn out better than the average since they can only adopt, which is not something that anyone can do.The gay couples that have kids are considerably wealthier and more capable than the average person.

Why are people so threatened by gay couples or single parents? I highly doubt there's any study that shows kids of homosexual couples fare worse than heterosexual couples. A kid will do just fine if raised by loving responsible parent(s). If a gay couple wants to adopt or have kids, more power to them.

I think the stigma against single parents is that a lot of them are irresponsible deadbeats (no job, lazy, uneducated, etc), so their kids end up in the same shoes.

However, I know plenty of people who were raised by single moms/dads that turned out successful. Difference was that their parent wasn't a deadbeat. Having a single parent doesn't automatically make a child fare worse in life.

No shit. But the data doesn't lie, and single mothers are far, far worse than a man/wife couple, and even worse than single fathers. Deadbeat or not, one person of one gender simply isn't capable of providing what two people of two genders can. Even good married couples can have fucked up kids. Good single parents are significantly more likely to have fucked up kids. And the more fucked up kids their are, the more fucked up parents and single parents there will be in the future. A single mother is basically committing child abuse by choosing that situation.

The data dose lie.

Single parent = 90+% single mother. Single fathers have way better numbers then single mothers.

That's in the data too. And single fathers also have poor numbers, though significantly better than single mothers and still far worse than a two parent household.
