She literally gained the weight of an entire 2nd wife.

I swear, guys should be able to sue their wives for shit like this. I guess they have to be smart enough to end things first though...

He should go thermonuclear on her. Tell her if she doesn't shape up they are getting divorced. He's enabling her by just complaining and not making her feel any consequences for her actions. He needs to show her that what she is doing is plain unacceptable.

The top reply on the top comment is telling him this, basically.

He should get divorced.

Get divorced, and financially destroyed? Great idea. She's putting up her boots, and essentially holding him hostage at this point.

You know guys, there's a difference between technically correct advice, and helpful advice. "Divorce the fat bitch" may be the best course of action, BUT telling the OP to divorce the fat bitch will accomplish absolutely nothing.
There's something to be said for softening the truth just enough so that it has a chance to be heard.

This is the most reasonable

Sadly this describes my marriage almost exactly, it took me 2 years to get to the point of telling her I didn't love her anymore due to what she became. She moved out, and we got as far as writing up the divorce papers (which surprisingly were actually fair) I worked very hard to keep her from people that would advise her to clean me out.
Then the craziest thing happened - she died of a brain aneurysm. While I don't recommend this method of ending a marriage, I think it might be the easiest financially. Thank god for no kids as her family is a nightmare that I no longer have to deal with. Due to my feelings after 9 years together it was emotionally more like loosing a sister than a spouse.
I took the Red Pill shortly before she died, and it helped me in all my dealings and my life is 10x happier and better even with the grief and loss.
My advice to the original poster would be find a new physical activity that increases your strength, puts in the same area as good looking girls and increase your SMV. Once you realize that others want you, you have less tolerance for her bs. The hardest hurdle I had to over come was fear of dating and no one wanting a divorced guy in his 30's - I have found this not to be true, but the widower card is an interesting wrinkle.
wow...now that's a story worth remembering. Great perspective, appeciate it. Being a young one, hearing these things more and more helps solidify my thoughts in the face of continual bombardment day by day of what my family, friends want

nice job on getting away with murdering your wife

Really... Divorces are easier and more people understand it. It was a pretty fair separation, she didn't go for everything. I spent a month in the hospital by her bed side managing her care and her family before she died of a second one. An Aneurysm is not a fun way to go and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Pretty beta judging by the top comment.
You need to go to counselling.

Your posts weren't alpha they were sour tantrum throwing child posts. Better, depending on perspective, than being complacent, but not alpha.

This is cringe-worthy.

Heartiste has some pretty good advice about this type of problem. What it boils down to is this: he needs to make his wife jealous. Talk about thin, young, single co-workers wanting to have drinks after work with him; cute girls hitting on him at grocery store/coffeshop/bars/etc; calling her at night when he is surrounded by sounds of music and girls laughing with him; conspicuously posting pictures with him and hot women spending time together on facebook, etc. She'll either shape up, realizing she has to get back in the game to hold onto a good man (who is willing to move to be near her family, and work 100+hours/wk to support a fat lazy wife!?), or divorce him out of jealousy. Next question.
