A Quora question recently posed was "Do highly educated men prefer to only date highly educated women?"

The answers are almost unanimously a resounding "No!" Overall, men couldn't care less whether their significant others have degrees, as long as they are pleasant and tolerable and seem supportive of their man's pursuits.

Of course, this flies in the face of what women tend to advertise as their "selling points" when trying to attract men. Academic and career achievements (and being well-traveled and other things that appeal to women) are largely irrelevant to the men they are trying to secure for themselves.
