This might not help but having kids is losing yourself, because you're giving it away to someone else. You're gonna have to be at peace with at least a little bit of loss. The sacrifice involved in having kids is part of what can make it worthwhile though.

As for how to retain what is left of your 'self', just keep introducing yourself and you kids to new things. You can almost use them as an excuse or means of getting YOU out into the world to try what you never have before.

It's normal to feel overwhelmed after you have a baby. Plus 2 more kids! I'm not surprised you feel lost. As parents we have to put our kids first, so naturally we lose out on "me" time. Maybe you and your gf can arrange for alone time for each other. (You both get a separate night off.) That might help with the bickering. Both of you are probably really tired.
