The only way you will fix your self-esteem is by improving yourself both physically and mentally. I personally went through something similar as you, but I made myself priority #1!

Sure, I still had needs that required to be fulfilled (fucking women) but I focused on lifting weights (getting stronger), sprinting (getting lean and shredded), martial arts (self-defense), reading (philosophy, evolutionary biology, politics, etc), good eating habits, progressing on my career of choice (engineering) which translated into making much more $$$ and that all made me extremely atttactive to women. I am too busy for them and that's what makes women moist their panties, they all love what they can't have. They enjoy being on the edge! ..knowing that you truly (don't pretend) don't really give a single fuuuuuuuuck! about them. The minute you truly give a shit about these hoes, that's the moment when they have control over you. You MUST be a confident guy, love yourself 1st, you're #1 and everything else should be a side effect of your improvements.

When you're busy improving yourself and talking to all kinds of people as opposed to one or two bitches, the chances that you will give a shit about any of those hoes will be almost non-existent.

Your looking for girls to satisfy your self-esteem instead of looking within yourself. Try exploring new avenues, take a risk, travel somewhere exotic (you can work as English teachers easily in many countries). Pick up an instrument or a new hobby. When these things boost your own self image, approaching girls in real life will come naturally as a consequence.

Of course, If you still want girls, you already know the answer, quit tinder and start approaching. DO, don't think.

You're not going to be dateable if your self esteem is up shit creek and your worried constantly about what women think of you. The end game for tinder is getting pussy. Just rub one out if your feeling horny and go talk to women in the real world instead of online. Focus on your own life and bettering yourself. Once you are happy it will show on the outside and draw people in.

Self esteem is based on self efficacy (ability to do something) and self respect. I believe tinder gave you easy self esteem because you were able to act and control in that environment, and had a solid basis for self respect in the number of responses and likes. There is a whole book about self esteem (The Six Pillars of Self Esteem) but what I would do is push through the discomfort and you will get better at IRL dating. Even if women suck, use your superior knowledge from TRP to your advantage. Try to think about other areas in life you are successful at. Say success on tinder is 1/6 of your self esteem, you can still have five other parts from school, fitness, etc.

What I'm coming to terms with is the fact that tinder has largely been the source of my self esteem for a long time, and I know that's incredibly unhealthy. I don't know what to do about it. Tinder took out a lot of the uncertainty that made approaching women so uncomfortable for me. A drawback however is it also took out a lot of the humanity of it and made dating much less personal.
