Disclaimer: This could all be incorrect. I am still learning. I do NOT, by ANY means, believe that I have it all figured out. I have a ways to go. This is something I thought of and wanted to put into writing.

Now, I'm only seventeen, but I could imagine that before the texting era, communication was a lot slower. Woman leaves man a message via voicemail. Man doesn't see the message until several hours later. Man has a job, the gym, friends, and things to tend to. The man in this situation isn't showering the female with hours of undivided attention because he physically can't. Now, if the woman is somewhat attracted to this man, her hamster will drive her crazy. "Has he heard my message yet? Why hasn't he called me back? Was it something I did?"

This is what gaming in the modern day lacks.

When you text a girl, you better be prepared to find out that there's twenty other guys EXACTLY like you in her phone. They're saying the exact same shit you are, running the exact same game, and to her, you just look like a horny dude. Like the other twenty. This is because this girl instantly receives gratification. She doesn't have to work for it anymore. She can literally post a picture and get showered in compliments and likes. Attention to her means nothing.

So why are you giving it to her?

Yeah. That's right. I'm calling you out. What seprates you from those other guys messaging her? Unless you're built like a greek god, you're the same Average-Joe that's hitting her up. She'll text you for the attention, but she doesn't care. Don't think you're building a special bond with her. Don't think she's different. She isn't. She could be getting railed by 3 different dudes and she'll still find a second to send you a text that she's busy with her family.

This is why as of late, I've tried something else: I make them wait. I'll acknowledge that I read the message but they'll wait to get a reply. This seperates you from the crowd (if you don't have an abysmal SMV). When you show her that you don't really give a fuck, like the woman we spoke about earlier (remember? The one with the voicemail?) Her hamster turns on. As much as you don't want to believe it. it's true. Think about it like this:

Many men are on the defensive when they text women. They think about what they should say, what they shouldn't say, and it goes on and on. Remove that mindset. You should be putting HER on the defensive. She should be carefully picking out what she's saying to you.

Make your presence respected. If you don't, you'll look like a clown to her.
