I'm looking for some advice as a young investor - I just started with a direct investment and TFS account about 2 years ago, and though I'm doing fine, I'm always looking to improve.
I have read previous posts on here regarding finance and investing and additionally, I've spoken to a number of people on the subject of 'strategic' investment. Albeit, the blunt of the advice revolves around consistency in saving habits, moderation of spending and making stable investments (dividend stocks, banks, amazon etc, etc.). My question is, and I guess the million dollar question in general - when is the right time to shift from this stable pattern and make more aggressive investments, especially as someone who is young and filled with piss and vinegar to make my money truly work for me.
In other words, what is a reasonable amount of money to have saved up before you decide to venture into something like real estate? or invest in a small business; Do investment strategies to make serious return change from when you start with let's say 5K, then work up to 10K, 20K, 50K, 100K etc. ?
