What's up with everybody on TRP having a blog now? I get it and it's cool but I largely stick to TRP reddit as good content filters up the chain.

I know. I'm worried about the future here personally. I like that people just say whatever comes to mind. It's raw and unfiltered. There's bullshit posts as well as amazing posts. Sometimes a great concept is buried in a poorly written post. It's free thought. Sometimes unorganized. Sometimes angry ramblings, but I like it. Unfortunately well written posts with hardly any real content are getting upvoted more and more here. People trying to sell their brand are less likely to give honest replies, to share their best concepts for free, or to hold off on sharing until they really feel that they need to. They share mediocre shit and dilute TRP because they have arbitrary content quotas they set for themselves and they want to be the loudest voice. The bigger TRP gets, the more people are going to start seeing dollar signs, the more monetary incentive there is the more generic the advice will be to appeal to the lowest common denominator and the more the answers will be grounded in spending money. The more people see others promoting their blogs, the more people will follow in their footsteps. I sure hope TRP doesn't implode this way... Honestly I wouldn't mind banning brand promotion here... But that means GLO couldn't sell t-shirts anymore... Then how am I going to look like a true alpha?

Difference here is GLO puts a few lines at the end of his (generally high-quality) posts, and has been contributing excellent content for years.
u/adrianenlightens promotes his blog in the first line of his first post on TRP. A post that is generally devoid of advice or theory with a lot of fluff before and after, and doesn't follow posting guidelines.

IMO, OP talks about self too much, and forgets the audience. Everyone who writes should remember, the person reading is looking for the value in what they write, not to learn about OP.

sure, we just had a guy in MRP talking about his Doxing, and costing his job from those nu males.
