I'm a long time lurker here, posting first time, want to share my quite trivial and specific story.

I got my gf into a game Dota2 (to those who are not familiar - a MOBA game, somewhat like LoL) and she has got quite good at it and eventually kinda got on my level. However, every time she would play a carry role (the ones that get all the glory in the game by getting kills) and I would have to be a support (a role nobody wants to play; the ones that help carries to build their stuff, "babysitters"). Firstly I'd play it to help my gf not to die in the game and when we got out of bot matches and started online, I'd go support because I want to win since I don't yet trust my gf's skill to farm alone while babysitting her is game-winning. If I play alone I try to be a midder or a carry. Bear in mind, my gf is now as good as me, familiar with things that supports do (and always spamming me "get wards", "heal me", etc in a game), still insta-picks carry heroes and gets praised by prepubescent males after the won game for being such a star and playing so well. Needless to say, I'd feel demasculated.

Thinking back, I cringe when I remember that I tried to give her (not so subtle) hints about the situation "so maybe you want to play support now?" "hehehe nooo", this is how it would go. I don't know did she not get them or she did it on purpose and waited for me to make the right move (not sure if I'm not expecting too much reason here though lol).

However, last night when she suggested to play I decided to finally end this comedy. I just turned around, looked into her and said something along these lines: "Now listen, if you want to play this game with me, grow the fuck up and stop expecting me to keep adjusting to your snowflake needs. Bot games are over, I will join your party now and you will pick what I tell you, otherwise I disconnect from the game and you can forget about playing it again". She gave me a look of mixed surprise with confusion and just said ok, kind of in a laughing manner. And she did pick what I told her, a support, now she was a so-called "ward bitch" (sounds so relevant now) and I carried the game. Guess what, we played 2 more games and she still picked what I decided for her to pick.

So to sum it up, I guess she just needed for this to be said directly, with power and with no option to decline. And it worked.

Now I don't know if it's related, but when we had sex later that night, she gave me a blowjob (6/10 but still a blowjob) which she would never give me before because "gross".

I guess I learned that this is how I deal with women in future - orders, not questions.
