Why not? To kill is also human nature, but we have the choice to restrain ourselves and not to kill. Farting is human nature, but we have the choice to not do it in public. Thieving is human nature, but we have the choice to not do it.

What make us humans and not animals is the capacity of making choices that bypass our animal instincts. If a woman do not choose to avoid her own instinct, she is responsible of her own behavior.

I've struggled to reconcile the kind of love that I've had for women with the truth of their natures. That is to say, I've supported women, created experiences they could never afford to create on their own, and shared my greater nature with them, yet AWALT.

It finally occurs to me that, despite their inevitable lack of loyalty, I don't have to frustrate my feelings of love for them after the connection ends. Like a father that loves his children, through it all, I can still look down the mountain, so to speak, from the vantage point of one who knows that this is all temporary, and I can love them without ever giving them another chance to diminish my power. Someday we'll evolve to the point where we make conscious choices and support one another's lives without undermining one another's spirits with stupid behavior. I feel like my love comes from that place, and I don't have to hold it back, but I don't have to give it away either. I can just let it reside in my stoic heart as I move on to the next one. I think that's victory, because hatred or even indifference is some form of loss, in my opinion.

Due to biolagical imperatives and social conditioning, one cannot simply decide to "accept reality"

The brain doesnt learn that way.

Instead, a poignant story followed by an actual experience and capped with reflection in light of new information, will produce genuine, lasting change to the mental model.

Thats why all those things you dismissively listed are so important. They are the foundation of growth. A problem cannot change until you know there is a problem.

Makes sense to me, drilled down as "acceptance". A man's responsibility is to make the best of the circumstances he's dealt, rather than to complain that others (women or other men) have it better (either with a better starting position or a lower bar to hit).

It's perfectly fine to judge. Everyone does that, including women themselves.

The difference is that you should appear non-judgemental, so that relevant information isn't hidden from you in fear of how you would react.
