Hey guys, I'm a rank amateur and an ignorant person. I've never had to work for pussy, but I find myself in a unique situation, as I'm in an actual committed relationship and have been for over a year. We split costs, don't fight over money, fuck often, and I dictate the terms of my life and she tailors hers to mine.

This seems too good to be true.

I have been cognizant of the basic truths regarding women from the beginning. I'm confident that I have slipped somewhat, due to the slow advance of comfort and complacency. That said, she knows (in that we've actually talked about it) that if we're not having sex on a regular basis, I will leave - that it's an essential part of what I require in a relationship. She knows that she's replaceable. She knows that when it comes to planning and executing things (dates, vacations, etc, I'll lead, and she'll follow (and I think that is something she likes).

Given that, I have two major flags that I'd like your expert opinion on.

First, she's been on birth control since the beginning, but insisted we use condoms as well for the first couple months. Eventually, we (I) got complacent and/or comfortable and trusting, and we stopped with the condoms. About eight months in, she got pregnant. I didn't find out until after the abortion. I was pissed, and impressed - angry because she didn't tell me what was going on up front, and impressed because of her explanation. She said she didn't want to tell me because she was afraid I would see her differently and didn't want me to feel responsible for her decision. She says she went through with it because she knew I would bail if she kept it. Obviously, that makes me sound like a douchebag, and I accept that. However, we talked about that possibility a long time ago, and we both agreed that we weren't ready for a kid. I told her point blank that I'm glad she felt the same way I did, but she needed to understand that if she changed her mind after the fact and decided to keep it, I consider that betrayal and would provide the bare minimum level of support assigned by the court and she would be on her own. She agreed, and executed when the unfortunate happened. And didn't tell me. And got pregnant in the first place when she claimed she was on birth control. And lied to me about it for two weeks after the fact, claiming illness. I suspect I should have ejected right then. Fuck up number one. On the other hand (is this what you guys call hamstering?) She did exactly what I told her to do, and I understand that the first couple weeks postpartum are often emotionally very traumatic. She has since mostly recovered, barring recurring nightmares, and things are good.

I have two ways of looking at this, and they're contradictory. The first is that she lied about what was going on at the time, and that's a disqual, full stop, bar none. The second is that when she had the opportunity to lock me down, she took me seriously and did what needed to be done, at her cost, emotional trauma, and loss. In a related note, I empathize with her. Women have been conditioned to regard abortion as a horrible act, and hormones alone can cause legitimate feelings of loss and regret after the fact. Am I being manipulated by recognizing that, or am I being realistic? At the time I provided a shoulder to cry on and didn't try to dispense advice, and it seems like she's worked it out on her own. We didn't fuck for a couple weeks after I found out, and I suspect that's less beta and more realism. Feel free to shit on that.

Issue 2. When I met her, she was in a long term, live in relationship that from my perspective, and what she claims, was DOA. She says she was tied to the lease, abhored the shame of moving back into her parent's house after three years away, and went into the relationship thinking she'd be there for the rest of her life. SHE SAYS that they were pretty much repulsed by each other by the end. Given that she bailed out as soon as I agreed to give it a shot if she left, I have two thoughts. First, the dude sounded very beta, and from what I have heard from independent sources, her story is accurate. My second thought is that once a cheater, always a cheater. I'm deeply suspicious of anyone who professes loyalty but acts differently. Am I overly paranoid about the state of her last relationship, and should I recognize that I poached a girl who was in something more like a stale marriage, or should I have hit it and never called her again?

I ask these questions not because I'm freaking out over this, but because I'm comfortable. Given the way she behaves, and the dynamic we have, I think we're in good shape. Complacency kills. I want a second opinion, because it's too easy to get sucked into a mindset and lose perspective. Am I a retard? And is a long term relationship even viable within the red pill framework?

Thank you for your thoughts.
