It sounds like you've got PTSD from an unprovoked attack.
I've had it in the past and Cognitive Behavior Therapy helped immensely - if you're not familiar with it, find a therapist that is. Discuss a treatment plan with regular check ins for progress. If they feed you some bullshit about "this might take your whole life to resolve", move on. Find someone who will start you out on a 3 month plan, with 3 month further increments. You should be in good psychological shape in 6-12 months with adequate effort on your part.
Also, I recommend ecstasy (they're using it on ex military PTSD cases now), but that certainly isn't for everyone.

I'm backing this up. CBT is hugely beneficial because it points out how absurd your limiting beliefs can be and helps you create a game plan to counter that inaction. Ecstacy can help but I'm hesitant to suggest using drugs to deal with problems to anyone without knowing them. That said, if you're smart about it, go for it.

can confirm extasy, it'll help for a lot of trauma.
it's kinda sick how therapy's become a business rather than a way to help yourself nowadays. there's no money in fixing you and sending you on your way to live a productive life, they gotta get repeat business from as many customers as possible for as long as possible.

there are people who cry PTSD because someone looked at them wrong or stole their pencil case. You took a vicious unearned beating from out of nowhere that has no reason attached to it. That kind of thing leaves psychological scars and real PTSD. And if your face is partially numb you have as I think anyone would be able to tell, nerve damage and who knows what else is still damaged.
You should be going to your primary care physician and explaining all the symptoms and asking him for specialists. I cringe to think that you're in the USA and not covered for any of this though. In which case maybe other subs are better than this one as this thing with women is probably just a facet of a larger problem.

Actually under the ACA, the vast majority of psych treatments are now covered in the USA.
As of 2014, most individual and small group health insurance plans, including plans sold on the Marketplace are required to cover mental health and substance use disorder services.

you know, i wonder if a king hit would work on a chad. beat shit out of him to put him in his place. from what i can tell the idgaf naturals are the ones who've never really experienced any sort of hard life that put them in danger of any kind, hence they're so carefree.
as for you i forget what they're called but there's a certain type of therapist, he doesn't have you talk about your feelings, he just presses certain trigger points on your body and it elicits an emotional response, things like repressed anger and pain. i figure there's a lot of energy trapped in your body that you need to get out but don't have a healthy and safe outlet, hence your anxiety.

I got picked on all the time when I was a kid because I was smaller and smarter than the other guys. It was almost never on-on-one but groups of 3 to 5.
When I hit 18 I re-invented myself which included joining the army reserve and doing martial arts. I also gave my look a makeover. In 30 years since then, I have never had a real fight as an adult. There was one case where 3 drunkards jumped me but I was able to keep them at bay and withdraw to a nearby gas station to call the cops.
I'm not saying I was or am "alpha" but the way you carry yourself, which is subconsciously influenced by the knowledge that you can handle yourself in a "situation" if need be, makes people pass over you if they are looking for a victim.

King hits (or coward punch as the Australian media has taken to) is almost at the level of attempted murder.
[–]aanarchist-2 points-1 points0 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
even better, kill the fucking cunt, why risk it.

King hitting someone is a great idea, keeps the medical and funeral professions busy and if you have the goal of experiencing "prison sex" that's a trifecta right there :P

mmmmmmmm....prison sex. you mean i get a taste of that cream of the crop alpha bbc??? yummers!

If you dgaf to begin with and are extremely carefree and just enjoy life out for fun, maybe something like that will turn you to the dark side. And chicks dig the darkness even more, plus they less likely to fool themselves into thinking your bf material unlike with fun loving idgaf.
Although op thinking of killing himself suggest otherwise and he probably wasn't genuine idgaf to begin with.

Try clinical hypnosis with a certified hypnotist. I could help you but I'm based in Spain.

My younger brother was in a head on car accident and his face needed surgury to repair his eye socked. It took several years before he was back 100%.
You need to just calm down... it's going to be okay... but it's going to be years before you are near 100% again.
My brothers face and eye seemed "creepy" for awhile, but it gradually comes back to life after time passes.
Keep a positive attitude... focus on peak fitness... rebuild yourself...
My brother is 53 years old and dates a 32 year old blonde... things turned out just fine for him.

Gotta agree with others it might be psychological (not counting out a brain effect entirely).
I was smaller growing up and got very good at guessing when a sucker punch was coming. It has happened a couple times as an adult and whomever I'm with is like: "HTF did you know that was coming".
This kind of thing definitely made me very non-social. I do not go to bars very often for this reason. It's no win, especially after being too successful defending myself, I had to go to court. Canada sucks with self defense laws.
The Catch 22 is, you need to make eye contact to read people, but if you do that, it can be taken as a challenge quickly. However I have always been able to cool off the challenging type without incident, it's worth it to avoid the few who will cold cock you.
After some retrospection I figure it usually happened if I was with, about to take home, or had the attention of good looking women. I now put my guard up more in these situations.
Yes it sucks to attract this special kind of bullshit. From my experience there is nothing that can be done except knowing how to quickly evade the situation. It is actually very hard to take someone out if they are fully defensive, even multiple opponents MUST surround you if you know what you re doing.

I was a victim (yes, THAT word used in the correct context) of a serious assault when I was young. Suffice to say, all 6 of the charges faced by my attackers were Felony/federal level, no petty or misdemeanors.
When your blindsided like this and you literally become a punching bag, it's one of the most real experiences in life. Nothing matters quite the same afterwards.
The two facts to navigate through this post are:
Not one, single man here could have brushed of a king hit and beat the fuck out of these guys. It's a crippling hit and nobody has the spurgy powers to read 17 reflections off a wine glass and BJJ or whatever to counter their chakras. If there are 100 comments, I'm sure a few will try and show boat off the idea
Your lucky to be alive, medicine and trauma treatment got you through the hard yards but a little more force, 2 mm in another direction or acquiring another injury during the fall and rest of the beating could have ended you instantly.
You still have the opportunity to make a good life for yourself and that's no small thing to stoke the fires and keep growing.
I'm no brain guy but if you read "The Brain that Changes Itself" it will maybe help you on the path to regain elocution and clarity in speech.
On the psychological side I'd look towards flushing out any lagging stress and anxiety over the indecent. Which is probably better left to a professional.
