As I've said before when the topic of legalizing prostitution comes up:

Prostitution should be legalized, not for any sort of social good it would do, but for the sole reason that it should be none of the government's business what consenting adults do with each other as long as no one is getting physically hurt.

On the heels of the news that Rhode Island's inadvertent legalization of prostitution reduced rape, one would think that would be a solid justification for doing away with the criminalization of prostitution. But this slate pieces goes out of its way to bemoan the plight of sex workers as a reason Canada and Sweden should stop trying to discourage the sex trade.

Because heaven forbid we advocate for policies beneficial to men for their own sake

In Australia at least $100 for 30 minutes, in this 30 minutes they check your cock, get you to take a shower (this includes your 30 mins), depending on how quick you are you got 25 minutes left. Plenty of time I guess.

My point being prostituting being criminalised would be beneficial for men in some ways such as cheaper pussy, pick them from the streets back to yours, bad news for the girl, no mor mandatory security blanket.

In short, Prostitution is legal enough to reduce rapes, but expensive enough to make it impossible for it to be a regular habit, thus women still have some power.
