Summary: Our current society degrades both masculinity and femininity in favor of an androgynous abomination.

When I think of the mainstream depictions of an ideal women they include career driven, competitive, strong and independent. These are traditional masculine qualities. On the flip side, mainstream media idealizes sensitive, caring, domestic and emotionally emotive men. All traditional feminine qualities. The ideal man and women have more overlap now than in any point in human history. Other traditional masculine and feminine qualities that aren't part of this ideal are often degenerated. The rise of 'toxic masculinity' in western civilizations shows this to be true. I'd argue that there is a group of qualities that are considered 'toxic femininity' as well, those that we would associate with the traditional homemaker. The blame for the creation of this ideal could be laid at the feet of liberalism, feminism, or globalism but I don't think it really matters in the end. I do find it intriguing that this ideal is both productive and docile.
