Maybe this isn't Red Pill material, but does anyone else view Lester Burnam (Kevin Spacey) from American Beauty as, in many ways, a positive roll model for 21st century men?

I believe every man should watch American Beauty, it's the movie that made me aware there even is a red pill. The man lives in quiet despair, not respected for his work nor his efforts as a family man. his wife neglects him, his daughter despises him. He is the AFC, a nice guy who did as he is told to do by society: be as nice as possible , marry a woman, have children and have a "good career. until he get's the spark that makes him Alpha. The drive to seduce and conquer a young woman and the nihilism lifestyle presented by the neighbors son makes him swallow the red pill and see how far the rabbit hole goes. He makes his own goals and pursues them: he quits his job, works out and stop's giving a fuck. how would this not be Red Pill material. It is almost the very essence and core of the red pill.

I personally feel Edward Norton's character in Fight Club is a better example but I would have to agree with OP. In general American Beauty is a better overall example of what the redpill is all about.

To me the red pill has always been doing what you want to do and not giving a shit what people think. On the surface, Lester seems crazy for quitting his high paying job. But look at that dude smile moments before his demise. Ear to fucking ear, baby.
