Last weekend the subject of artificial womb poped up in my company.
There was one progressive-feminist woman in the circle, and at the beginning she commented how this is empowering for the woman, because she doesn't have to carry the child during the whole pregnancy. This device would free her from the oppression of patr... bla bla bla.
However as the discussion developed people I pointed out that man could have children on their own with this device. Woman wouldn't be necessary to starting a family anymore, and her reaction was f... priceless :D
She immediately started opposing this device. Her reasoning was (and this is coming from a liberal progressive feminist) that it was against the nature. :D
Expect double standards from woman and you are not going to get disappointed.

that's what some girl commented in the post recently, saying the exact thing, "we don't have to carry it, so it will be so much better!"
they couldn't think about the POSSIBILITY that they are literally useless then, being fed the disney shit their whole life, it's hilarious.
I'm so happy here. Gym day here I come

If a man wanted a child on his own, he could pay a surrogate uterus right now and get it.
The point of marriage has always been more about creating a 'team' between two people committed to raising children together.
I don't think this is such a shake-up in a practical sense.

surrogate contracts are difficult, if not impossible to enforce. Aside from that, they're very expensive. The courts are still trying to figure out if the surrogate mother can change her mind and decide to keep the baby (and collect child support, of course.)

I do not believe artificial uteruses will be given away for free either.

True, but an artificial uterus can't sue you or cut you out of your child's life if it changes it's mind. No fuss, no muss.

True, but again I believe the actual changes it will bring to the vast majority of the population will be minimal.

Yeah good luck with that. I can already see where this is gonna go. This will get exclusively used by gay male couples to have offspring.

Briffault's law plot twist: men have the gamete that is required

I thought kids were things most men tried to AVOID.
This may hurt the number of marriages but if it comes to pass it isnt gonna be that much of a shakeup..... And thats pretending the matriarchial US/European governments wouldnt outlaw this the moment the feminist cries started.

I still didn't hear a single man saying that parenthood or fatherhood is bad. I heard a bunch of guys saying marriage, wife and rape-divorce are bad.
But again, not a single one who was disappointed with parenthood itself.
