Okay gentlmen, this is going to be my first post on TRP's main page. I hope that it can help some of you out. This is a common problem I see not just in person watching people approach women, but also on a lot of the posts here. I often see advice such as "compliment something that isn't her looks, like her shoes." or something that isn't just calling her beautiful. Yes, if you aren't quite to the "I am the shit, literally" level of self-confidence, this is a safe way to open. Sure, you have a way to start the conversation where you can talk about, for example, her shoes, and where she got them, and then that eventually trails off into other dialogue. However, this isn't something she's never heard before, even if she doesn't hear it from a guy. She will almost constantly have vagina people around her that are complementing each other. "Oh my gosh, I love that dress!" "Those heels are sooo cute!" Blah blah blah. I have found a much better way to open is a compliment-neg combo, or some outrageous off-putting neg. Instead of walking up and saying, "Hey I like your shoes." say "Wow, nice shoes, what went wrong with the rest of your outfit?". Another option is a bit more risky, something like, "I'm looking for a dirt nasty hoe to give a ride in my honda civic, you seem fitting, lets go." However, as always, it is the WAY you say it, not WHAT you say. With both of these options, a certain level of charisma and sarcasm is required to pull them off without getting slapped in the face. Also, usually, the better looking the girl, the better she will take the joke! If you walk up to a HB6 and tell her that her outfit looks like shit, she might not have the self confidence to take it as a joke, however, if you see a HB9 and say the same thing, they'll probably have higher self esteem and be more capable of discerning between a serious complaint and a joke. I tend to lean more towards the compliment-neg rather than the outrageous statements for one main reason. You immediately begin the push-pull dynamic of the interaction. If you are able to set the tone as playful, and have her questioning whether or not you are going to take her home from the get go, it makes the entire close so much easier, IF you can pull it off in a clearly joking manner. Some people this honestly will not work for if you aren't the type of guy that can immediately initiate a conversation with a stranger and have them know you are joking. This is made a lot easier if you are smiling, kinda high energy, and even making a little bit of light kino. When you knock her discount whore T-shirt, tug at the waist of the shirt a little. If you tell her that blonde highlights are sooooo 2000 and late, run your fingers through her hair. The tone that you set in this first sentence will determine the success of your opener.
