Hello there, JFMX1996 here.

One of the things I was really paying attention to these past few weeks is the way people talk. Often, I've ran into people who slur their speech, trip over words, don't pronounce consonants in their speech, or sound very monotone when they talk. There's also been quite a few who stood out to me that spoke very clearly and eloquently, throwing in an occasional word that stood out effortlessly and making great eye contact.

I've gotten compliments from adults most my teen years and up until now, about how I'm a very well-spoken and give a good impression. It wasn't always like this, and it took me a bit of effort. I grew up with a lot of females in my house, and my older sister would always scold me for talking in a normal speaking voice for conversations and tell me not to be yelling and so on. I made the mistake of listening to her, even though I had a normal speaking voice and knew she barely spoke up. I learned this terrible habit from her.

I know a lot of guys like you have this issue too. Worrying about how loud you're being and often having to repeat yourself to people, sometimes feeling a lack of confidence in your speech and wondering how you sound.

First off, my sister can go fuck herself with that stuff. A couple of years ago, I said fuck it, if I'm being too loud for her, I simply won't talk to her. Don't be afraid to speak up and never let someone shut you up unless it's by your own merit and the situation allows for it (being in a library, etc.)

I took care of one of the main things that was bothering me, which was, not speaking up enough by simply learning to be louder and more commanding in my voice.

Believe me, it makes a huge difference in interactions with girls. One mustn't approach a female with a timid voice and being careful not to put her off or annoy her. This doesn't mean be a loud, douchey obnoxious frat boy. This means go, and speak to her with authority and command a presence because you know you're a man and are worthy enough to talk to her. You might feel confident, and be approaching girls and not even be aware that your voice sounds timid and conveys a lack of confidence.

Shit, I know, it's weird. But even when we feel confident we sort of have to put a little initial effort to SHOW it when we speak too.

When asking that dude at the gym if he's still using a bench for incline pressing dumbbells or whatever, don't make it all awkward and go approaching with a low, timid voice, go in and say loud and with presence "Hey man, are you done with that bench?".

It makes such a huge difference just speaking up with the presence of a man instead of as a shy, timid boy.

Many don't pronounce their words clearly. Really now. Next time you have the opportunity, pick up a book and record yourself reading a few pages for about 5 minutes. Either that or record yourself reading one of the posts here on Red Pill out loud with the voice recorder app. Pay good attention to how you talk. Are you pronouncing every part of the word well? Are there certain consonants you're not pronouncing clearly? Do your "th" sounds sound more like "t" or "d" or are your "g" sounds at the end of your words being pronounced?

Being CLEAR AND CONCISE in your speech with others is awesome. Not having to repeat yourself is a relief.

Another exercise I'd like for you to try, is just set your phone up and record yourself. Use the lens on the opposite side of the screen so you're not watching yourself. Pretend the lens is another persons eye. Try not to look away. Without a script, just talk whatever is on your mind for 5 minutes. Then, play it back. Observe. What do you see? Do you look away a lot? Do you shift your eye contact often? Are you slouched over? How does your body language appear?

Do this enough times each week and record your voice when reading posts at least once a night, and you'll see with time and observance your voice improving.

I've been getting lots more compliments lately, and it's pretty awesome. Just being able to captivate people when you talk and just really draw in their attention.

Oh, before I go, I'd also like to throw in the importance of eye contact. Have you ever just talked to someone who just looks you in the eye and you feel a sense of boldness to them or depth? You can do this too. Look deeply into the other persons eyes. Most people are right eye dominant, so I'll look into their right eye almost instinctively. Don't shift your eyes around too much. If anything, wait until the other person looks away first and then maybe look around the room. Really look them in the eye like you're looking into their soul, and making a connection. Whether it's a girl or another guy it doesn't matter. Guys will respect this when they feel you're able to hold deep eye contact and are having a good conversation and what not. It helps you both connect better when talking about interesting subjects. Girls will love it because it's a pretty dominant trait being able to just look powerfully into her eyes and talk and not be all shifty eyed like most guys usually are. When talking to girls, I really try to see myself in the reflection of their pupil. Try it out. Often they'll blush and ask why you look so deeply. It also helps tremendously when you're asserting yourself in a situation.
