As a Canadian I'm dissapoonted in a 50/50 cabinet as that isn't equality.

There is no way in hell we have the best qualified people in all those cabinet positions.

But I'm sure before the 50 / 50 split we didn't have the most qualified individuals either.

Companies just don't pay the same for un-equal productivity and performance (unlike in professional tennis).

Companies paying women more would cut into their bottom-line, outsourcing jobs, retrenching (more) people in the West, resulting in less people working, that make more money, that have to pay higher taxes for more unemployed people.

I don't know if Pierre Trudeau (Justin's dad) was a feminist... I haven't heard of him identifying as such.

Looking at his personal life... he has some TRP things going on (not having outside constraints, focusing on himself over his wife, etc). Then again, I could misinterpreting this since I'm pretty new.
