,A lot of women have guys who keep them on a pedestal, and these guys freak the fuck out (and end up here) when she breaks his heart over one of us.
Where women often remain friends with each other after one has "stolen" their guy from the other. Among men, that kind of humiliation is unforgivable.
I get the whole thing of once you've swallowed the pill long enough and reach IDGAF-atman, you could probably sit down with both of them and send them home together without caring. I'm there.
But the trouble with "they're not yours, it was just your turn," is that while she decides whose turn it is, guys organize and punish other guys who are perceived as cutting in line. The implication of TRP is that there is no line, just a woman's crazy whim, and I would be surprised if most guys here would agree with that.
I have a personal code where if I have been introduced to a guy by a man we both know, or by his woman, and have shaken the guy's hand, I won't cuck him. Introduced by a woman, it's more complicated. I hate when girls introduce me to the boyfriends they are about to swing from, because it is unnecessarily cruel. It is socially destructive, because it makes men enemies. When I was younger I lost a couple of networks of friends over women. Shame on me for putting pedestal ho's before bro's. Those were my extreme BB days. Live and learn.
Hypergamy can be dangerously antisocial. Branch swinging within the same social group can destroy it, and this has significant effects on success in mens lives. Ancient cultures viewed feminine nature as a source of social instability for good reason. Cuckolding is a way for women to wield power by bestowing or removing status from the men they go to bed with, and when you mess with an established order, you get war.
The reason for my own code is there is no woman with whom sex would be worth the cost of a male peer friendship, or harm to my reputation among equal men. There is no validation she could provide for me that I can't provide for myself. This is the rationale of bro's before ho's.
But judging by whether it is reasonable to expect other men to respect the ring on a woman's finger, independently of how she behaves, I'd say marriage is dead. My question is, do you have a code when it comes to the status of a woman's relationship?
How does it work?
