I want to start by saying that I recently got referred to this sub by a friend, and I love it. It's something I find I do somewhat naturally but this really keeps the brainwashing from mainstream media in check.

I used to be in the Marine Corps and something that always stuck with me as very cool was the weapon safety rules taught to recruits. They are as follows:

  1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded

  2. Never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot

  3. Keep your finger off the trigger until you intend to fire

  4. Keep your weapon on safe until you intend to fire.

Now what I've always found so awesome about these rules is that you can't friendly fuck your buddies unless you're breaking all 4 of these rules. I was reading through the commandments the other day and thought to myself "wow these are nice and helpful, but that's a lot to keep track of", considering that you can be following 15 of those to a T and still be beta as hell. So can we create a set of rules to follow like the rules I stated above? An easy to remember set of rules that you can't be beta unless you're breaking all of them so that you can keep yourself in check on the fly?
