I've been reading the reactions to his knocking out of his girlfriend, and most of the comments do not surprise me. Looking at the video, you can clearly see Rice's girlfriend resort to physical violence (albeit not a forceful hit [slap]). It was interesting to see that no one pointed out that she escalated first and that Rice is at 100% fault. I think he should not have punched her but rather restrain her, as she was the one who was approaching / lunging at him.
