Hey everyone, new to this sub and wanted to share some improvements I've made after reading TRP for a few months. Over the last 2 years I've been working on myself and becoming the best I can be, eating right, testing my frame, working out, and working on studying and public speaking.

Im a young guy, just turned 19 and got promoted to manager at work over the summer. Something I noticed is that the cashiers and some employees walk all over the other managers and talk to them disrespectfully. They go along with it to avoid confrontation or an issue. They gave me the same attitude problem, often remarking that I'm too young to be a manager or showing obvious signs of annoyance over the slightest things. I immediately wrote them up, I looked them in the eye and told them I earned my position and am the boss, whether they like it or not you're gonna repsect me. I don't care if you like me, but when you're here you will respect me. The old me would have avoided the confrontation and brushed it off, but I didn't hesitate and used my authority. I'm really proud of how confident I've gotten to where I can walk in a room and command respect, give a presentation with confidence, and have other guys ask about how I've gotten built and how they can improve.

Lesson Learned: Don't avoid confrontation. When you let someone walk all over you and remain passive, the damage is already done.
