82 xv750 cafe racer. Built it over the past 3 years, probably put 6000 into it. its a single seater so it only helps in terms of coolness and the manly kind of 'I can do things with my hands' bit.

The 500 has a no-fat-chicks vibe on it, is very small, the harley usually scares the women, they fear motorcycles and in winter none will want to ride with you. But I like them, I dont care if bitches will want to ride with me, I purchased those stuff for me, not for anybody else. So purchase what you want, if you like a sport car, purchase it, if you prefer other kind of car, purchase it. Satisfy yourself, never purchase anything for what others will think.

I drive a Kia Spectra EX. Very limited options and poor.

Get a new sports car if you dont work on cars as a general hobby and can afford it (high octane gas, 100 dollar oil change, a million dollar replacement parts...). Get a classic if you enjoy working on a car and going fast and it will be a fun project you get to have fun driving.

Ive had a Mazda RX-8, not a super sporty car, but fast and low. It was fun to drive all the time even when i was just going to the store. Sports cars dont really get boring if your looking for fast, as long as you have a daily driver also.

It helps with shallow chicks who you want to fuck after buying them dinner. Unless you into that, then by all means, go for it.

They do perform better but maintenance is expensive and they generally quickly lose value quickly.

Bottom line is if you want a car thats fast and can afford it, then do the fuck out of it, id be jelly.

I don't know the specifics of your financial situation, but since you say that you live in Miami - I would perhaps not blow your whole budget on a car. Sure, $50K-$80K will put you in a sweet Z06 but you can find cars of that quality (and sometimes even nicer) in the student lot at Palmetto High School.

All I am trying to say is that you probably aren't going to stand out as much as you want to considering how many Lambos and Ferraris there are cruising Ocean Drive, Coconut Grove, etc. Upgrade your vehicle and put the rest into something that appreciates in value like stocks/mutual funds/gold.

I wouldn't say that it helps a lot with chicks, but it sure doesn't hurt when you ask a girl out on a date and pick her up in a nice car. I constantly do get compliments on it. I recommend you go with a convertible if you do get one, much more fun than say a closed top Camaro or something. I would also highly recommend that you look at mid 2000's Z4 BMWs, Honda S2000s, or like a Porsche Boxster. You can find lots of these cars in the $10,000 to $20,000 price range. They are sporty enough that people give you compliments and take 2nd glances at them and cheap enough that you won't break the bank and save some money. For example, here is an S2000 I found locally on craigslist recently. If I didn't already have my Z4, I'd be interested in this one (Honda's will last you forever and are cheaper to fix than a BMW or Porsche)

This s2000 is practically brand new with how low the miles are. Plus by buying a vehicle made between 2000 and 2010, parts get cheaper over time (not always though).
