The Red Pill gets a range of personality types.

Some are clearly looking at being a player and exploiting resources like women and cuckolded men as well as society to their detriment. Those people would be less inclined to want to "improve" themselves (I would think) and they would never be expected to help anyone else including their own offspring.

Others, like the Red Pill Married Men segment, would want to improve themselves in order to increase their value and just generally bring forth a better world if they can for themselves and their family. Fear of divorce rape is the "stick" and love of knowledge the "carrot".

The MGTOW is generally the least motivated, so while they might intellectually be attracted to the idea of great works their natural slothful nature will prevent them from serious effort. However, sometimes the exposure to great ideas can transform someone to lose their inertia.
