Browsing through this article written by a women seeking pity for leaving her husband, on the basis that he was a "sex addict". I don't understand how that is possible?

Even if it were possible, the distinction between being an "addict" and a regular user for most substances/activities(eg. alcohol, gambling etc.) is having it deteriorate your daily functioning. There's no evidence of him under performing at work, neglecting the children or anything like that. The sole complaint was that he was "cold". LOL How the fuck can someone be cold when they want to be INTIMATE ALL THE TIME?

Basically I think this is a control issue, and she wants out because she's lost control of her product(sex) and thinks she can find a better price elsewhere(some beta), but I wanted to get your guys take on it.

Calling someone a sex addict is like shaming someone for their addiction to food - it makes no fucking sense.
