Backstory

I'm on a dating website. Easy way to find new plates, but at 31 years old, I'm genuinely looking to settle down (yeah, I know). I've got 3 going now, this is about adding the 4th. The fact that I'm open to an LTR makes this a VERY soft RedPill example. But, I've seen worse, and maybe someone will take the lesson to heart.

The Hook

She liked one of my pictures. I made a little comment back. She's Dominican (HB6 in one pic, HB9 in another... could've gone either way). I teased her for her short profile and lack of info. She started gushing and I told her to stop; save it for drinks. Told her to give me her number. I texted her: "[Place] [Time] [Date] Eat before you come." And got a "sounds good!" It was about a week in the future. She texted me at one point, a day later, saying "just so you know I'm really shy, I don't talk much at first." I replied about half a day later: "then you'd better look good." "lol okay I will!"

Employing the Pill

I basically ghosted her. Classic RedPill, right? We had some crap weather the night of the date (freezing rain). I actually did want to confirm since it was a week later and, with bad weather, it's not like the bars would be packed with other opportunities.

The day before, I texted her: "you good with the weather tomorrow?" She said "yup." And that was it.

The Date and the Reveal

She got there early, was waiting for me. I grabbed us a booth and we got talking. One of the first things she said was "I almost didn't come. I thought you forgot." (Okay, so the confirmation wasn't a bad idea, but she would've texted anyway, probably.)

I asked, "Do you flake on a lot of your dates?"

And she said, bluntly, "Yeah."

I asked "Like, half?"

She said "More like 95%." She laughed and explained "It's so hard getting to know people, it's like a job. By the time a few nights go by, I don't even care about them anymore." (I think she was saying that she knew everything... no mystery... hard to keep a high level of excitement for so long.)

Then she said, and this is crucial, "that's why I almost flaked on you!"

This is the EXACT opposite of what happened of course. She literally just told me that when she talks to guys before the date, she gets bored and flakes. But in her own head, that's not the pattern at all.

Think about that. She'd probably even tell a guy, "if we don't text before the date, then I'm not going to show up." And totally sabotage that situation for everyone. Girls have NO IDEA what's going on in their own heads.

The Lesson

Forget what she's thinking and ignore what she says; she can't even explain to you what's happening in her head. Red Pill it.
