you're not going to hold women accountable no matter how hard you try.

back then, women relied on their fathers and husbands for income. if they weren't on their best behavior, they'd get their money supply cut (and often also their relationships). now they rely on the state to redistribute incomes to provide for them. some engineer in new york is paying for some single mom and her three kids in california, none of whom he's ever met.

here in america single women overwhelmingly vote leftist, since they promise more goodies from cradle to grave. (married women swing the other way, voting for the right-wing). but who can blame them for voting for their best interests?

it's ironic how feminists lobbied for equal voting rights, the rights to work, and boldly proclaimed that they don't need men. modern day feminism is the complete opposite -- they actually expect society to cater to their desires. can't afford birth control? have the government step in. need time to raise your kids but also don't want to lose your job? have the government step in. baby daddy ran away after he found out you were pregnant? have the government step in. strong, independent women who don't need no men for sure.

My mother raised me almost entirely by herself from a physical standpoint and for awhile I hated my father. Then I came to realize that no matter how absent he was the man did the best he could by me by financially supporting us and giving us a quality of life that we couldn't have afforded otherwise. All this time my mother had been breeding this hatred in me for him and what he had been doing when I really didn't give him the credit and respect he still deserved for being a man when he could have just ran away a long time ago.

The sad reality is that she couldn't do much of anything herself. I had to find my own father figures and deal with the bullshit that comes with being the son of a single mother -- you tend to deal with stuff that should really be best left to the husband, and I was left to fix the rift that she helped me create between my father and I which to this day I struggle with.

With all this, yes women should be held more accountable because they're still fucking up hardcore, but damn it if my mom didn't try at least.

(I guess this was more personal than anything, a venting situation, as I read over it wasn't entirely pertinent but I'll post it anyway)

Every single mom does that, it's in their nature. "YOUR DAD IS AN ASSHOLE."

"But you fucked him over and over so...?"

[–]RaiausderDose4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

"you are just like your dad" I heard this line so fucking often...

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

My daughter actually says herself "I don't want to be like my mom". I don't blame her as her mom is a very insecure person but she does love very strongly so I have to remind my daughter not to forget the good stuff.

this isn't an "either or" situation.

the government could pay for neither.

We should but not gonna happen.., to many female voters, you pull welfare away and you lose political carrier so we will pay more and more.

All these single mothers, they are our equals, so we should pay for them and their bastards. Go for money to the father of the kid. If he doesn't have any that's to bad. Next time don't spread your legs in front of losers.

If women continue to outdo men financially, it might change. Women HATE raising the children of other women.

[–]Ronfar2 points3 points4 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The only way we'll ever see them accountable The West is if government finances and the economy gets so bad that their welfare is cut or removed completely. Then these so called 'heroic' single mothers will have to experience the harsh reality and consequences of their bad life decisions.

[–]KetoJennic1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

The kids of single mothers have two parents. In what way should we hold the fathers accountable? Aren't they just as responsible as the women for the state having to step in and support these children?

[–]tidux5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I'm not sure if you're trolling or just too stupid to see "child support" for what it is.

[–]KetoJennic4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Did you read the article? It was talking about how the state is supporting these children because the mothers can't. So apparently the fathers aren't, either. But the only mention is how the mothers should be held accountable.

[–]_Molon_Labe_0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Did the father's have the right to abort, adopt, or keep the baby? No.

You think they're not accountable...? Do you know what fucking child support is, and the fact that it is paid 88% of the time by men to women?

[–]KetoJennic0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Because most men (in my experience) never make an effort to gain sole or equal custody of a child, even if they are financially able to support them and the mother isn't. My best friend is a single father, and the way people treat him makes it obvious I'm not the only one who finds it rare for a man to actually be raising his child.

Sending a few hundred bucks a month to someone is not actually supporting a child.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is bullshit. The courts favor giving full custody rights to the mother to the point of ridiculousness.

One of the good mate's father, a very well respected man, has spent literally quarter of a million dollars in court and layer fees trying to get full custody of his kids (at this point, he would even settle with main custody) to get them away from their alcohol mother. He wants to send the younger kids to a very prestigious private school (which the kids want to go to) which will do wonders for their future but the mother refuses because it is 2 hours away from where she lives. The courts side with the mother on premise "no child should be without their mother".

[–]Nutz761 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

In what way should we hold the fathers accountable?

First ask yourself in what way should we hold mothers accountable for removing fathers from their children's lives? Women initiate divorce in the large majority of divorces and CHOSE to have kids out of wedlock. When they get pregnant they have to consciously decide to bring it to term. Contrary to what the media has been selling you, mothers are largely the ones responsible for the dad not being in the kid's lives, not the other way around.

[–]Exactly_what_I_think0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fathers should be held accountable when they have equal or even remotely equal rights.

[–]forechanrefugee-1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Of course they should. They hold about 50% of the responsibility. The other 50% belongs to the moron that ran up in her, knowing full well she was a worthless ride.. But he got on anyway.

When the rides over you have to pay. Of course the law is set up to favor women abusing the system. Ultimately it is in the interest of the Child - no matter how lame it becomes for the man involved..

So now you know how it's going to work from now until the forseeable future - Now that u understand the ground rules, decide how yo gon act.
