Or How Red Pill Isn't Just About Sexual Strategy, Yet Again.
An inevitable part of a man's RP journey involves these moments of epiphany, both major and minor, where things just click together in your awareness and you go, "well this shit just all makes sense." You see the Big Picture.™ The light stops flickering dimly and comes on clean and strong, illuminating the fleeing cockroaches and you just go, "damn!"
After taking a sip of Red Pill indignation with my coffee, I headed over to Return Of Kings and was not disappointed. Roosh V just posted an article, 6 Warning Signs A Girl Isn't Worth A Relationship. It's pretty straightforward wisdom. Go read it.
Now the last two points he makes have specifically to do with sex. Even though TRP is all about sexual strategy, they don't apply to my current epiphany as I'm in an isolated rural community and am currently not approaching implementing game. File them under good things to know for when I return to public life
My epiphany, which had to do with his first four points, is this: Every single person in my life, friends, coworkers, family...everyone does this crap. Not just girls in a sexual/romantic context. I'll break it down.
Changing your music without first asking for permission.
As I’m making drinks, if she goes to the laptop, cuts off my music, then pulls up her own music on YouTube, she’s only getting fucked that night and never again. Even though she wants to play “this one song,” I cut her crap off and put mine back on.
This is probably the most irksome bit. I won't ask what kind of crystal ball Roosh is using to see into my apartment but this happens to me exactly as he describes.
I'm an amateur DJ which means I'm pretty good at gauging my audience, even an audience of one. When I've got company I'll usually just put something on for the background, something that can be talked over. Either a long set that I recorded for the purpose or just a basic playlist. The point is that it's for background ambiance while I focus on the interaction between me and my guest.
I swear it's not five minutes before whoever it is goes over to my computer, closes my app, opens a browser to youtube, and goes, "you gottta see this!"
It's not just, "here's something you might like," or "I saw this and thought of you." No, it's usually more like, "OMG YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE NEW ...? SIT DOWN AND WATCH THIS!"
My response is usually an emphatic no. When I was more beta and orbited lots of chicks, I'd sigh and just give up while some womanchild bored me to tears with the latest Bright Eyes video. If there was sex afterward it was never worth it.
As I became more assertive I got to the point where I just had to shut that shit down. I didn't just make you coffee so you could hijack my computer and my conversation.
But it wasn't just plates or dates. Every motherfucker I know does this every time. They can't help themselves.
Occasionally the videos are mildly interesting but nine times out of ten it's something that, firstly, I don't give a fuck about and, second, isn't even close to being something up my alley.
It's especially irksome when I'm trying to lift with my mates but all they want to is shove a device in my face and show me an old Bruce Lee clip or some cop beating somebody down. Either that or some clip from a movie I've seen and gotten bored with a thousand times already. My response tends to be to the effect of, you'll never have moves like Bruce Lee until you put down the iPad and pick up the bar.
But every person in my life, male or female, Greek or Jew, slave or free, does this shit every single time. It's like everyone has a disease.
Giving you unsolicited advice.
I don’t care if I have the most obvious problem in the world that can be solved with baking soda, but if I don’t ask you for help or at least show I’m open to receiving help, then shut your mouth. You’re not my mom and you’re not someone who has more life experience than me, so spare me your harebrained ideas for solving a man’s real problems.
If the last bit was irksome, this is downright infuriating. It seems like everybody's an expert on what you are doing wrong and how you need to fix it (hint: exactly their way). The whole reason my life has become a shit-show of near homelessness was because my beta ass stupidly took that advice over and over.
It's part of our collective Blue Pill conditioning. Think about it the last time someone gave you some BP advice such as, "just be yourself." Did you ask the person what their advice was or did they just volunteer that shit? If you think about all the times you've ever gotten crap advice, I'll bet you'll see a correlation.
God forbid you actually do ask a question or need a single point of data. As an example, say I'm cooking something and just need to know what temperature to set the oven too. I'll ask, "hey, what temp do I need to cook this chicken on?" The answer is never, "350" or whatever the number is. Nope. It's always, "Here's what you should do...." followed by 15 minutes of unsolicited instruction, with hand gestures that I'm required to watch lest the speaker get offended, on exactly how to cook that chicken and what I am doing wrong. Nine times out of ten I still won't get the point of data that I was asking for.
Again, it's not just plates, LTRs or orbitees that do this, but every single fucking human being I know! My own mother does this, as well as three or four self-appointed "mothers" among my male friends. Is there something in the water?
Saying “you should.”
There is absolutely no reason for a girl to ever tell a man “you should…” It insinuates that not only are you currently doing something wrong, but that she knows more than you, which is extremely unlikely. She is free to say, “Have you thought of…” or “What do you think about…” but the moment she brings out the word “should,” a synonym of “must,” I know she’s an arrogant harp who thinks she knows more than she really does. The only things I should or must do are pay my taxes and die.
While not every single person in my life does this, most of them do. A particular example which comes to mind is a guy I work out with. Basically me and a few friends lift in my buddy's garage. This one guy who we've known for some time asked to join us and has been lifting with us for about a month. His form is shaky, he won't follow any kind of program but it seems he always has unsolicited advice for everyone else and offers it up during just about every set (see Roosh' previous point).
Damn near every sentence from this guy begins with "you should...," or "you need to..."
So the other day another guy in our group, who does good research and who's advice is usually actually quite good, starts showing us a new exercise. Now as my other friend is demonstrating the move, I'm asking stuff like, "what muscles does this work?" and, "where should I be feeling this?" My example, on the other hand, couldn't wait for the guy to even finish the first rep before interrupting and telling him how he should be doing this exercise.
Literally every sentence was "you need to..." and that was before my other friend could finish demonstrating the exercise. This guy was literally offering up instruction to the other guy before he even knew what the other guy was showing him. At one point my example gets up and tries to take the dumbbells from him, which ended with nobody actually learning how to do the exercise.
As for my example, it "wasn't his fault" that the other dude couldn't finish his demonstration. Sound familiar? The contrast was night and day. I was asking questions but this guy was already the expert, even though he didn't even know that the other guy was going to show us.
Not apologizing when she texts or takes a call in your presence.
This point doesn't really need to be expounded on except to say that, yet again, damn near every single person I know does this. I've even been guilty of this myself.
So what's the epiphany here, besides knowing that I'm not the only one that sees this? What's the takeaway?
First, don't be that guy. You've got some really piss poor behavior that Roosh is associating with women in the context of sexual strategy, and rightfully so. But the reality that smacked me in the face was that everyone in my life does this shit. I really had to think about it deeply before I could remember an example of someone who does not do these things.
Are all the guys doing this a bunch of beta femboys? Well, yes. They are. When I think about that guys that do this I can see that they act like women in most other respects. They run their mouths nervously and constantly like bitches. They shit test like bitches. They get butt-hurt like bitches. They misinterpret everything you say to maximize the potential for victimization...like bitches. And they hamster like bitches. As reformed blue pillers, we must guard against this kind of behavior ourselves.
Second, Red Pill is the lens by which we see the whole world, not just the part of the world that has to do with sexual strategy. It's useful in all areas of your life. Think about these behaviors next time you're at work and somebody starts trying to tell you what's what. Think about them next time you're at a party and someone tries to pull a Youtube hijack and make everyone watch some asinine shit.
Lastly, Roosh V has clearly sold his soul to The Devil to obtain clairvoyant powers. Mad respect, brother!
