I have been married for sixteen years. My wife is Chinese, specifically from Singapore. She spoke english when we met and was educated in western schools. She has been a stay at home mom most of our marriage. She cooks my meals, does my laundry, and cleans the house. We have very specific roles in our relationships. I make the big decisions and she makes most of the small decisions. She came with me without question to North Carolina, California, and finally Texas. We had two daughters and I asked for another try for a son and she didn't hesitate. We ended up having a girl, that looks exactly like me btw and is my favorite. I have never worried about her cheating, leaving me, or divorcing me. She is a constant in my life.

I am a white male and have often thought about what if I had married a white female. The white females that I have in my life are generally liberal. They live loudly, but not in an admirable way just loudly. Most of the men in my life have divorced their original white wives or been divorced by their wife. All of my wife's family and I mean all are still married to their first spouses. All of the women are stay at home moms that cook, clean, and raise the kids with clearly defined roles.

American women and specifically in this example white women seem to be blurring the lines of roles in relationships. Angry white women are dominating the conversations about patriarchy, feminism, and male rights.

I am an older dude and if I was asked for advice from young pups I would tell them to look at asian women or cultures with more defined roles to choose their spouses from.

Am I wring in my thinking? For those of you looking for spouses have you considered that americanized women just are not competitive with other cultures when it comes to spousal material?

I see what the young pups in my life are going through with their relationships and wives and I cant help but thinking that they are fishing in the swamp instead of fishing in a nice clear lake. Fish in a swamp and you will get fish from a swamp.
