TL;DR - The title. Taming Your Outer Child (Susan Anderson) is a highly regarded and highly recommended book for those of you who have deep-seated issues.

Body:
This book deals with the knee-jerk reactions that we resort to when in fear or fearful circumstances, like situations that trigger feelings of abandonment, fear of loss, etc.
I was recommended this book in the NMMNG forum, and along with When I Say No I Feel Guilty, it's had several practical applications. I've found it very honest to pen down the exercises, because treating the symptoms is helpful in the short term, but you MUST treat the cause before you can heal and grow fully.

Lessons Learnt:
I found that the Outer and Inner dialog exercises helped me finally realise how deep some things actually affected me and how to be much more mindful of what I was going through at any point in time - such as unplanned zero-days when I keep taking break after break, to anger that erupts out of nowhere at a hair's trigger.
