Sabbatical: a period of paid leave granted to a college teacher for study or travel, traditionally every seventh year.
I've enjoyed a lot of what TRP has to offer -- so much so that I made a throwaway just for posts here. I've also learned a lot, too: how to hold frame, how to sodomize "sorry," and how to fuck harder. In short, I'm just a better guy because of it.
But there's only so much you'll get by making TRP your go-to sub every day, watching videos on YouTube, and reading game literature. Yes, you have to go out and do things yourself without the life preserver of immediate feedback, because you need time to reflect yourself. And more
Yes, consider taking a break from TRP -- and by "break," I don't mean it the way unfaithful skanks do. Stay loyal to the philosophy you agree with it, but own it in a way that suits you. Don't even make field reports unless you feel you need help, because what's the good in a massive monologue?
So push yourself out of the nest: Leave TRP for a while, but don't give up on the philosophy. By distancing yourself from TRP, you can make your TRP philosophy even stronger, and your game better. Then come back to the university, and preach from a much better POV than you had before.
