I've started reading The Rational Male and have read the sidebar articles here and ran into a question I don't believe I have seen addressed.
It is frequently mentioned that leaving some amount of mystery, leaving things unsaid, gives you power in the formation of a relationship by allowing a woman's imagination to fill in the gaps and make her more interested.
My question is, how do you balance this advantageous behavior with the need to educate, if you are for instance dealing with someone in a non-standard type of relationship in which you are more experienced?
Do you try to minimize the amount of information you reveal on this topic? It's not particularly information about you yourself, but shows your experience in the area.
Is it best to keep discussion points neutral, trying to not refer to your direct experiences when providing information?
Perhaps this is itself not a valid concern at all; perhaps you are seen differently in your role as an \"educator\" such that crossover does not occur?
