I think most of all, this method works best when you are trying to playing it safe. Specially at those places where you "can't fuck up" and be that guy who is always "hitting on girls"

This makes little sense. This tactic usually works only if the girl already desires you in some way. Then removing attention whets the appetite.

Otherwise I don't see this as anything really, aside from basic playing it safe, which is good in some situations, bad in others.

I tend not to friend zone girls unless I'm working with them, even then I wouldn't call them friends. Being a friend takes energy, necessitating attention, unless you're meaning 'friend' as someone you're simply polite to, in which case, yes I have myriad female acquaintances.

I'll 'sex zone' girls, spinning. I'll 'connector zone' girls, only using them for access to other things I want, but I don't friend zone girls. Guys are better friends most often, and more productive to boot.

I'm still pretty new but prior to TRP I went Monk Mode for about a year, and friendzoned everyone, but gave not one second of actual effort to anyone. I had more phone numbers thrown at me in that year than any prior year. They were all HB6-9.

It started slow, but snowballed over time. Because I was in Monk Mode but still conversing with and kinoing my friendzone, it helped with the perception of abundance when there was none. It helped maintain the DGAF frame I was unconsciously building. I think the ultimate value to this for me was assessing my unbiased SMV, as well as added perceived abundance thereby increasing my SMV and social proof. It helped re-establish my confidence after my last BP failure of a LTR, as well as add enough credibility to TRP principles for me to take a serious look at it.

There's a 15 mile hike up the mountain at a gentle grade or a 9 mile hike up the mountain at a steep grade. Which to choose? Depends on what kind of shape you're in. I think this was the 15 mile approach which worked for me when I was in "bad shape".

Now, frame's established, plates are spinning, and cold approach is still a work in progress. As I said, I'm new but just wanted to provide my anecdote to OP's topic. To me, he's adding value to abundance and DGAF principles, so I can't see how it can be that bad, as far as theory goes. At the same time, I don't think I would be getting numbers from HB9's at the time if I looked like a bridge troll either. I think Coltron778 nailed it. Abundance training wheels!
