Introduction
This post will deal with the difference between the concepts of:
Body
Women love to shop.
This urge is primal because women never create or initiate anything, but instead spend their lives discussing between themselves what is "desired" and what isn't.
In the sexual marketplace you want to be "desired". (pre-selection)
But let's think about how contracts are established when things are sold in a marketplace. The first question is:
- Can this item be returned and will I get all my money back?
In our Blue Pill world it is largely a given that no sale is final and everything can be returned. If Jenny buys a green IPhone cover and sees that Tammy has a pink one with sparkles you can be sure that the green one is returned and a pink one be purchased.
When a woman goes on Tinder she can pick any guy she wants (assuming she is hot) and go on a Cock Carousel™ ride with the guy then return him without any fuss.
But let's look at a different contract...
My apartment rental contract is in an area that has lot's of tourism in the summer months, but zero activity in winter. The owners have realized that if people could simply rent for the summer then leave that they would always be losing potential profit or asking insane prices. So the one year contract (lease) actually forbids leaving in winter... if you try there are all kinds of nasty penalties.
The effect of these contracts is that in the first one when there is an urge to improve (Hypergamy in thought) someone can act on that easily and execute the Branch Swing to some different option. This encourages more of this immediate gratification type of behavior.
But the effect in the second contract is that despite the urge to switch (the urge of Hypergamy towards a Branch Swing) the circumstances make the switch a true punishment.
We learn in the second to Dread the consequences of breaking the deal.
A good comparison was the Marriage 1.0 contract where a woman could lose everything if she behaved incorrectly... the result was that few women would risk the punishment of misbehavior and divorce was rare.
Conclusion
Hypergamy is the urge in women to optimize their choice in a sexual partner.
The act of making a switch is a Branch Swing. In most cases a Branch Swing is for something not that much different than the last, but at times it can be better and sometimes objectively worse. Women tend to lose SMV rapidly, so in most cases a woman is at best getting the same. Women at the Wall tend to trade down. (beta Bucks)
All Women Are Like That (AWALT) means that within every woman there is a (sometimes secret) urge to trade up.
All Women Are Like That (AWALT) does not mean women automatically execute a Branch Swing... it simply means the urge will always be there.
The decision to "act on" the urge of Hypergamy brings forth an actual Branch Swing.
