In the "Daily Show thread", /u/hermit087/ estimated the time required for a woman to progress from seeking a husband to beginning a family at the ideal time for a compromise between maturity and fertility.

But for a woman to have a child when she is 25, that pretty much means she was 24 when she became pregnant.

Which means she would have been married at around 22.

So she needs to start seriously dating and looking for a husband at 20.

Which really leaves little time for messing about. Delay this schedule by even 5 years and a woman will really be crunched for time.

In the OK Cupid article linked by that OP , (near the bottom of the post)...

we get this graph, which shows the amount of OK Cupid date requests women make for men of various ages.

Using the timeline for mate selection and assuming the man will agree, realistically that realisticaly gives you an absolute drop dead date of 29 or 30.

29 years old... as they put it in the OK cupid article,

At 29, a woman becomes even more open to older men and, in addition, stops writing the youngest ones. The typical 28 year-old women sends a small but significant number of messages to men too young to drink. The typical 29 year-old sends practically none.

What the article doesn't go into is the why. We know the why.

At 28, women are messaging men down to age 18 on a regular basis, because they're riding the carousel, hoping to bag that school or college alpha male - you know - the horny fucker that can go 5 times a night and still get it up before breakfast.

At 29, just a year later, that wish is almost completely gone in women's actions, replaced with a yearning for alpha men ideally in their high SMV, but most Beta years, but will now go even all the way up to age 56. Reality hit these women like a ton of bricks; they are after husbands now with desperation, but ideally men with the highest SMV of their life with a balance of status and affluence, and with any luck, some residual physicality. The real gold-diggers among them will trade the physicality for a bit more affluence and go higher in age to get that Mercedes M class to ferry the kids around in.

This is the combination of the clock gonging in their ears with a hard timeline and a realization that their SMV is now plummeting in relation to their quarry (who now want younger more fertile women).

So coming back to the graph I referenced above, dat color shift...
