The truth is already readily met with scorn, if the design of society were to give you all of the answers on the onset you simply wouldn't respect them. Consider their misunderstanding a courtesy and further more a promise that they will uphold the lie so we can profit from it.

One of the greatest misunderstandings this sub has to grow through is that the people out there shitting on what we say, picking apart every detail do in fact do us the service of producing the backdrop to our success.

We would be common drivel if everyone knew how life worked.

Ignore them, thank them, whatever. The reason why this place, this way of thinking is effective is that it survives an infinite amount of scrutiny because you can just go fucking use it to remind yourself if you ever have doubts.

[–]culofiesta 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well put.

[–]PerfectionEmbodied 7 points8 points9 points 13 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

"Swallowing the pill" apparently is an analogy for your choice of action when dealing with women.

Blue- consider emotions of women, do not use her exclusively for sex, etc.

Red- Use emotional manipulation to get sex. Women are only good for sex and babies.

I'm pretty biased. The best thing I can say is to read it yourself. Here: /r/theredpill

No. Not at all. They also called this a "pick up artist" subreddit. I mean, we discuss how to get the girls, but that's not what I think of when I think of TRP.

[–]culofiesta 9 points10 points11 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I always thought the red pill is getting the most out of life as it benefits you. Living life as you like, not doing what people expect of you.

People want you to be mediocre, get average grades, get an average job, want a lot of crap but struggle to pay for it, have two kids, not read, not exercise, get fat, get laid a handful of times and believe everything the news tells you. The red pill should be a way to look at things critically. When you make mistakes or bad decisions, look at them and think what you can do differently next time. Think of things that can better your life and institute them. I don't just keep it in the realm of romantic engagements, but everything.

Most people don't question anything, accept everything that's told to them and wonder why their life is shit. Take the red pill and change things.

[–]PerfectionEmbodied 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Totally! When I think of the red pill I think of it, to put it concisely, as relearning how to be a man. It pretty much covers everything a man needs to know/act (including what you said of course).

Exactly but the obese basement dwelling fedora wearing my little pony loving beta males from the other subreddit are to lazy and expect free handouts in life.

[–]jakethesnake76 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good maybe some Beta's will come in here and learn, i know we are all learning from each other and the more this spread the better our society could function, (once women see thay have failed if ever)..

While I understand what you mean, I think your very words can then be turned around and used against TRP. Look through some of the threads where someone links an article or thread that is then picked apart. Usually there is good analysis and discussion but it often devolves into mockery and circlejerking.

Right. I am saying that much of your post is like stating "only idiots and butthurt fags resort to namecalling!"

[–]shhshhitsok -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Personal investment, time and energy spend on antagonizing someone, mocking, parodying, reducing to absurd, name calling, strawman, ad hominem to ad nauseum and every other type of lame attempts of proving that they're wrong is, if you really think about it, flattery.

Well not really, this is Reddit and there quite a few reasons to do shit. If you look at it too closely almost every second spent here is a waste of time. Mocking and parodying can be fun, there are quite a lot of subs dedicated to that fun.

Why bother to discuss peoples' differing opinions? Was that basically what you were saying at one point too? Probably because it is fun to discuss things and see different points of view.

As for the superior thing, doesn't everyone want that? This fucking sub is all about being superior, come on now. WTF are you even trying to say?

As for the parodying = flattery that seems fucking stupid honestly. Do you believe /r/conspiratard is flattering /r/conspiracy?

Sure, I can get that it seems like a waste of time to circlejerk and make fun of shit. But considering there are 1000000000000000000000000000000000s of other different ways people can waste time. At least they are working on their typing skills and maybe retaining .0001% of what they parody.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is why everyone stands in their little corner of the world and never learns anything. If you come across a group of people who believe something that you disagree with, you hunt for the worst possible behavior exhibited by that group so you can dismiss everything else associated with it.

TRP becomes 'that subreddit about rape' because one guy made some comment. It means you don't have to critically evaluate anything that challenges how you already think, because "Man, those guys are actually advocating rape! What a bunch of assholes!"

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a very good observation, I always wondered why people buy very simple guilt-by-association shaming tactics, and the reason is largely because not only manipulators do it, people do it to themselves in order to avoid coming out of the comfort zone.

And this why treating counter arguments to what one believes with the principle of charity is not simply a nice gesture to the other party, but it's a way to not miss a chance to learn something.

For example in economics when libertarians decide to treat socialists with the principle of charity they will usually pick up that wage labor is really worse than self employment, this happened to me, and socialists do this with libertarians they usually pick up that ultimately every form of power depends on some kind of a competition (market, votes or violence) and really you just have to pick the least bad one and so on, so there are things to learn from anything with a bit open mind.

Then again we should be more careful and not say things like there is no such thing as spousal rape. I actually believed it and then I realized that just because someone owes you money it is still a crime to take his wallet by force and it is the same thing so yes there is such a thing.

[–]culofiesta -1 points0 points1 point 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's exactly what happened here

[–]MSoftHarem 11 points12 points13 points 13 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

SRS/TBP are the hardest working publicists in the game. Thanks rad fems. Let me know where to send the Birkenstocks and dildos.

[–]TRIGGER__WARNING 7 points8 points9 points 13 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link

I swear they're like a fan club. TBP specifically takes time out of their days to take everything we say and deconstruct it through their PC lens.

What's interesting though is they generally wind up proving the point we made through their sad attempts at parody. They spend their hours searching through our threads, desperately trying to find content. They completely disregard any rational arguments we make. They're satisfied pointing out every little mistake a member says or does to try to feel better about themselves and rationalize their hate of TRP ideology.

Instead of spending so much time on our page, they should go to the gym. Maybe then they'll be able to score an alpha cock they're all so resentful of not getting. They give us so much attention. It's like a little kid pretending to dislike a crush because she doesn't know what to do.

I bet you they'll link to my comment right here. They'll call me an alphalfa male or some shit and pretend like none of this actually hits home.

[–]TRP Vanguardscottishredpill 3 points4 points5 points 13 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There is a TBP thread all about me. Someone went through my post/reply history, and then took snippets to mock, usually getting the details wrong. Was an interesting read.

[–]TRIGGER__WARNING 1 point2 points3 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I saw that. Happened to my other account too. So I made this. I use that SN for other things and I'd rather not be doxxed by idiots.

[–]monsieurhire2 5 points6 points7 points 13 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Some of the stuff said on here IS misogynist, but much of that subset is more an expression of rage, like "That fucking bitch," and not "All women must be subjugated." Another subset that is problematic is the notion that men should ruthlessly use women. I think this creates women who use men. Women who get pumped and dumped a lot may just use that as a justification to exploit men that are weaker than them.

But, where is all the "mainstream" outrage about how females talk about manipulating and seducing men, which is practically mainstream in many if not all women's magazines? Where is all the "mainstream" outrage when radical feminists say horrible things about what should be done to men, like how they are all rapist animals who should be locked in cages, etc.? I'm hyperbolizing a bit, because that would be at the Dworkin fringe.

What's also irritating is that they ascribe the whole subreddit the character of individual posts. There are lot of different subtopics within this subreddit.

I doubt any of them are digging through here with any sense of objectivity.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think the purpose of this sub so is to really drive one message deep, that all women are hypergamous, however, I think there is sometimes a tendency to equate this trait with it's worst examples, by those guys who go and date ultrahot 19 years old models who can afford to have a huge little princess syndrome yet and of course get a negative experience with them and then say it like "women are this or that" when they obviously not mean 3.5B women including their own mothers or grandmas. Practical minded people often generalize out of pragmatic laziness and don't mean it in a bad way, when they say "women" it just means "women I am interested in", they are simply assuming everybody knows they are not making theoretical statements over billions of human beings but talking about their own practical life. However theoretical minded geeks are likely to take it literally and interpret these as literally meant generalizations which then of course looks misogynistic.

This difference between theoretical and practical people tends to cause hurtful misunderstandings in other areas of life too. A practical minded person may say "wow gypsies suck" and the theoretical minded person thinks "wow this guy is really racist" while in reality the practical minded person was simply lazy, but what he really meant "those 10 I know, I don't care about people I don't know", generalization is always theory and the practical minded person does not care about making theoretical statements even when they look like so.

Anyway, I think on one hand we really could use a bit more precision here in this subreddit, so really think it over when do we want to generalize literally over all women and when just over young Western hot party girls or similar, so basically do not say "women" when for example you don't really mean your mom and grandma, and on the other others watching this subreddit from the outside should take some statements with more charity and when someone goes here "women cheat" then just not take it so literally but more like "hot young Western party girls cheat" because that guy is talking about his own experience and not making a fucking thesis in anthropology.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 13 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Do you know that video (on phone atm, will look for link later) of some feminists(?) talking about a girl biting off her boyfriends penis because he cheated, then they all laugh at it and say she did the right thing. Pretty much visualizes what you just said.

I'm going to jail.

Right now the top link is "68% of women said they would have an affair if they knew they could get away with it". What are we satirizing with that link?
