In this video, Lebanese TV host Rima Karaki cuts short a London-based Islamist's interview following his insolent remarks.

First off, I don't expect confident RP's to give me some hate on this. This is because I believe confident RP Men won't feel threatened by feminism on a strictly personal level; after all, an alpha phuck is an alpha phuck whether you place him on the ice age with wooden clubs, or in the computer age sitting on night clubs.

Now for the video, this is how I think feminism should look like, as opposed to the extremist idea of "fairness" where everything goes in favor of the woman. This one passes the gender-switch test -- the same act holds ground even if the host is a man, or even if the guest is a girl (a slightly similar situation happened in real life, remember how even some women came in defense of scientist Matt Taylor during Shirtgate, though obviously divided, but that's another topic, the main point is that even women came to his defense). The video above isn't about gender issues, it's about the disrespectful guest and a disrespected host (one can simply replace the sexist remarks with other insults). It's about equalizing humans regardless of gender, but of course, we can't deny the fact that girls might claw out for more power than is good for them.

On to the next.

Look at the sheik. He was trying to assert his will over the woman's show by being bombastic, asserting that he's respected whether she likes or not, that she's just a woman, that he -- for whatever reason -- can do whatever he likes. But the ultimate question is this: Who has the real control over the show?

Substance over form.

You can be as loud-mouthed and badass-looking as you like, but if the substance of power isn't on your side, your audio-visual scare tactics won't work. This is where self-respect trumps asserting dominance. Dominance, whether you like it or not, fluctuates from one case to another, but self-respect is all-encompassing. You're a subordinate to your boss -- woman or not -- but power is on your scale's side when it comes to your girlfriend. But your self-respect can remain on both cases, and by the natural infectiousness of states of mind, you also increase the chance of your boss and girlfriend respecting you.

Another point that can be learned from this video is that asserting dominance (or self-respect) requires one to be clever. For cases like this one where the substance of power isn't on your side, it is better to err on the side of caution. You have very little to lose by just sticking to self-respect in many instances, especially like this one. There is no need to assert dominance in all your interactions. That's just risky business, not to mention strategically unsound. Just look at how that guy ended up.
